We visited here as the snow fell and it was well worth it. It's a quirky property with many styles. It must have been an exciting house in it's hay day. You can easily understand the attraction for the Prince of Wales visit. As a National Trust member entrance is free.

Situated near Yorkminster, Treasurers House is owned by the National Trust. See the roman road in the cellar and explore the servants quarters. The house also has collection of antique furniture, ceramics and paintings. The William and Mary sweeping staircase is beautiful and look out for the 1900 Times newspaper in the Kings Room. Also loved the story of the... More

The Treasurers House near the Minster is a peek back into the history of York, not just the Minster and is well worth a visit. There was no queue when we visited, easy access.

A very interesting National Trust property, made all the more enjoyable at the time of our visit by the Vivien Leigh exhibition being staged there.

We visited the Treasurer's House on a Saturday morning. We had not pre-booked but only had to wait about 5 minutes to get in. A very interesting house and the cafe served an enjoyable lunch. It is well worth a visit. We are National Trust members and so the visit was free.

An interesting building by the side of York Minster ( so easy to get to). Has a collection of 17th and 18th Century furniture, and tales of a ghostly Roman Legion. Cafe is very good.

What a delightful building in the shodows of the Chapter House of York Minster. I visited several years previously and since then NT have opened more rooms and extended the restaurant area making three rooms to now dine in. The staff were very attentive, warm and helpful. They had a Vivian Liegh exhibitions on at the time of my visit,... More
