A really interesting museum even if you are not particularly interested in trains. Lots of the trains can be boarded and you can get close to everything. Free entry but they do ask for a small donation or request you buy a brochure to help...More

Last day in york. Took a quick visit. Geat facilities and turntable display that had a great crowd. Clean toilets. And large cafe area. lifts for those with low mobility and pushchairs to the second floor level. Fantastic WW1 display. Well worth a visit

Not sure where Huby is but there are good links in local buses and the train station is right next to the museum.
