there is a small fee of £1.50 to enter and then climb the steps up to the top. Make sure you are wrapped up as very breezy at the top. You can see how the weather has worn away the outside of the lighthouse. Look...More

Whitby Lighthouse is a stone tower with a spiral staircase all the way to the top where you get a great view out to sea, long to Sandsend and up the harbour. Somehow lighthouses all tend to be special and Whitby Lighthouse does not disappoint...More

The walk to the end of the piers is worth it even only for the views back towards the town. Usually some characters & fishermen there, but the effects of waves & weather are taking a toll on the structure.

This small lighthouse that was built in 1831 is a very easy climb and gives you a very good view of the surrounding area. The charge of £1.50 is very reasonable.

If you don't mind heights so much, pay the incredibly cheap £1.50 to climb the steps and see Whitby from a different angle. The views from the top are phenomenal, if a little vertigo-inducing! Well worth the admission fee. Remember to shout up before you...More

As a fan of lighthouses, I had to climb to the top. Cost was £1.50. The lighthouse is very narrow and consists of narrow spiral stairs. At the top you can get outside and get 360 degree views which are stunning. The light was not...More
