My dad loved sailing, so we wanted to put his ashes in the sea. We booked the old lifeboat to take 7 family members out to sea as it was October so we were told that if it was rough we could go to the harbour entrance and put dad in there. The boat has no bells and whistles it... More

Lucky enough as we were leaving Whitby to head to the car after a great day out, we were walking past the old lifeboat and guys offering the last trip of the day. Luckily we were talked into going on the boat....for a brilliant trip round the bay! The captain is a really fun and chatty and informative as he... More

My husband, myself and my two very young children had a lovely trip aboard the old lifeboat. Dodgy (but harmless fun) jokes from the old rocker/pirate/seadog skipper who made a real effort to engage with the passengers, especially the children. £3 per person for a 25 minute trip, the children were not charged. When someone spotted a porpoise there was... More

Went to Whitby for the regetta with my eldest son and we always take a boat ride on the old lifeboat. The price is great and the boat goes out a lot further then the others..the captain is a pleasant chap. He does anything he can to help will be going again next year

We have been going on Barry's boat for going on 20 years and would never consider another boat. The history of the boat combined with the lovely staff make this unmissable. Barry the captain is lovely and his sense of humour will make your smile. A much nice more casual boat trip! Highly recommend!
