We had read the wonderful reviews and were excited to go and explore the gardens. Unfortunately after a long journey there we went to pay (£10)each ,just to be told no dogs were allowed. This is something that no one had mentioned in the reviews .We came on holiday with our well behaved dogs as many people do and we wanted to warn others to save wasted journeys and disappointment.

The gardens were extensive and well maintained - you could easily spend a whole afternoon here. The cafe was welcoming with delicious sweet and savoury food.

Utterly gorgeous garden. Huge variety of plants, and the layout of so many interconnecting “rooms” makes for a relaxing, refreshing and interesting stroll. Lovely plants for sale too. Delicious cakes in the airy cafe, (which was warm nonetheless, due to the wood-burning stove), and safely spaced tables. Toilets were clean, with cleaning materials for visitors to use, so felt very Covid-safe. In fact, the whole experience was the most beautiful , peaceful and relaxing of our week in North Norfolk. Been a couple of times now, and can’t wait to return next spring. (3 family members in our party - a couple plus adult daughter, but oddly this site only lets you put couples, friends, business or solo, with family including either children or teens, and the box cannot be left blank, so I’ve put us down as solo. 🧐

Visited on Thursday, absolutely gobsmacked. So many small areas, all separated by 10 foot high hedges, but with some great vistas. So many different types of plants, my Head Gardener (sorry, wife) said it is the best garden we have ever been to, and we have visited a great many !!!! Everyone we met there said the same. If you are in Norfolk, definitely worth a visit
