A cool summers day (always take a light jacket as no shelter from the wind here) and saw no seals but still a great place for a reflective stroll. Lots of friendly dog walkers. Nice beach with good views over industrial Teesside.

Drove past here today and the whole thing has been removed, no hide and the path has gone too. The car park now has Environment Agency signage and fencing. They’re obviously doing some major work there of some description. Real shame.

Sadly the carpark and hide is going to be closed between June 5th and the autumn of 2018 due to a Flood Prevention Scheme. We went to the first Hide only to discover the (better) walk had already been closed off. This is the one...More

We chose to go here due to bad traffic on our route to Saltburn. There is a dearth of info as to whereabouts this is when googling in a hurry. We eventually found the small car park for 10-12 cars on the west side of...More

We like to pop here when in the area to do a spot of birdwatching and to watch the seals at play. It was busier than usual as there was a oil platform coming into the salvage yard There is plenty of space to walk...More
