- Hanna484United Kingdom167 contributionsWorth it for all tennis fansVery good day out- well worth the ticket price. The staff were so friendly and allowed us to park in suitable nearby place due to mobility issues. Centre Court had a wonderful atmosphere during a final.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 30 November 2023
- Pete B2 contributionsThis is the real thingThis was my first time actually in person, my family have all been regulars for years. I actually had a really good day out, the place was packed and yes, there were queue’s but not too bad. The history of the place is incredible and the organisation must be a headache. Definitely will go again next year.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 4 July 2024
- RitaMkzLondon, United Kingdom44 contributionsWonderful Wimbledon as always.Wonderful day and evening out, well worth the money. Well staffed, efficient, great facilities and plenty of food and drink options. Also a generous allowance of what you can bring into the grounds. Staff are polite and friendly.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 July 2024
- ericaGlasgow, United Kingdom167 contributionsJust love Wimbledon it’s such a lovely dayGot tickets via the ballot this was my second time being lucky to get tickets , this time I took my youngest daughter , just like the last time everything is well organised we got the shuttle bus from Wimbledon Station and we’re at the tennis club in about 10 Mins, we had court 1 tickets , atmosphere was amazing in the court we obtained some sandwiches and the famous strawberries and cream neither of which were overpriced , toilets were ready available everywhere as well as people to ask questions. We also took our own cans of pimms in as your allowed an allowance which helps keep the price of your day down , we got to see 3 good matches and got the shuttle bus back to Wimbledon station. It was a great day and would thoroughly recommend trying the ballot for tickets.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 July 2024
- The LobsterMiddleton, United Kingdom125 contributionsFantastic / smashingI just love this place and the experience. Everyone has smiles on their faces. The staff, the volunteers and the event goers all enjoy themselves - even when [as I faced this year] lots of rain falls. Many congratulations to the event organiser. I look forward to returning in the future.Visited July 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 11 July 2024
- David TWhitley Bay, United Kingdom991 contributionsAnother incredible experienceInitially, we did not get tickets from the ballot. However, my wife kept checking the official site for returnd tickets, and we eventually got a pair of tickets for the second Wednesday on number 1 court. I can only say the system is excellent. The organisation on the day was extremely efficient. The tennis was great and the atmosphere as usual was amazing. We entered at around 11.00 and stayed until around 21.30. This makes it excellent value for money, and whilst the food and drink on site are expensive, you can bring your own with you. For any tennis fan if you get a chance, I would recommend a visit in 2025 or later.Visited July 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 13 July 2024
- SteveS1970Coventry, United Kingdom8,928 contributionsMen’s semi finalsI was lucky enough to win tickets to the men’s semi finals on Centre Court in the public ballot. Tickets were expensive but it was an expensive that was worth every penny. The ticketing system is very secure and I was very impressed with the app allowing me to transfer tickets, all very simple. Security is tight but the venue is very impressive. The outer courts are situated as you walk in and Centre court are further in. Our seats were amazing, closer to the court than I could possibly have imagined and being there is so much more exciting than watching it on the television although out of very quick and can be hard to keep up. Amazing experience and I will definitely try my luck on the ballot for next year.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 14 July 2024
- ste141Exeter, United Kingdom174 contributionsMy visitI got tickets for the qualifying rounds for the first time since 2019 and paid £15 per ticket. I took the District line to Putney Bridge, but then had to wait for the bus. I think, on one of the days, I had to wait for one hour. After I made an official complaint to TFL, the service improved again. I always got off just past Clarence Lane and crossed the road and walked down and then right and then left to the grounds. The staff were extremely helpful, if I had any problems. As it was very hot and sunny, during one of the days, they gave out free bottles of water to everyone. This is a good event for anyone who wants to go and watch tennis, but doesn't want to go to Wimbledon itself.Visited June 2024Travelled soloWritten 17 July 2024
- DianaGravesend, United Kingdom34 contributionsLoved Wimbledon 💙My best experience at Wimbledon so far this year! I visited on Day 11 and Day 12, enjoyed all of the perks the sponsors have offered, watched various matches and even managed to get an awesome seat in the front row through ticket resale for Court 1! I saw the finalists, was able to get pictures together and have my tickets signed, absolutely loved it! All staff looked very smart in their uniforms, enjoyed a bit of shopping, food, will definitely be back again! ☆☆☆☆☆Visited July 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 22 July 2024

There is also shops and the hill. I’ve been going for 15 years and it’s awesomeVisited July 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 28 August 2024

My husband and I were really excited to have booked 2 courts on day 2 of the Wimbledon 2021 tournament. We got tickets for courts 3 and 18(the only ones available at the time) and they were quite expensive compared to the ones we paid at Us Open and other tournaments we have been.
Even though we checked the weather forecast and their rain policy prior to the day, we were confident that if any matches get cancelled, we'll get a refund. We had access to 8 matches in total and 4 got cancelled, but we didn't get anything in return. It would have been nice to get access to a different match on the day, or the next day, just for the matches cancelled previously, but the only thing we were advised at information desk was that we managed to experience it all.
When you pay that much for tickets, transport, accommodation, parking, not to mention having to organise holiday, your covid tests and you get told you get the experience.

Buying tickets online was easy however, getting them allocated to your online account was a total shambles and nightmare. Was given repeated contradictory information from when the tickets were purchased until the morning of the event.
Had to queue for 2 hours in the ticket resolution queue with literally thousands of other angry people !!
Wimbledon were blaming Ticketmaster and Ticketmaster were blaming Wimbledon for the ticket fiasco.
Considering the amount of time they had to write software and test it to go digital this should never have happend !
Please don't blame Covid this is all down to incompetence, shame on you !
Unless they sort this mess out my advice don't go its too stressful !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hadn't been to Wimbledon since the 1980s. So this year, Monday 3 July 2023, I thought right I am going to queue and get a ground pass. I live near Ipswich and left at 1:00 p.m..The total journey by overground and underground took about two and a half hours. While I was waiting for a District line train an announcement came over the tanoi (I didn't hear the exact words) saying that it will be not be worth your while going to Wimbledon as there was such long queues. I nearly turned around and went home. However I continued my journey arriving at Wimbledon Park about 3:30 p.m.
The stewards at the entrance to Wimbledon Park were telling people that there was absolutely no chance of purchasing a ground ticket for the day and were telling people to go home and come back tomorrow. It was awful watching a mother with her young son and others being turned away with such disappointed looks on their faces. For the second time I nearly turned round and went home.
Not to be defeated I walked into the park, which was legitimate, and went to the end of the queue where several stewards were standing. I asked them the same question about ground passes. Was told that the chance of getting in that day were very slim but nevertheless they gave me a queue card with the number 510 on it. 13,000 people had gone before me apparently. The queue was static for about half an hour but then started moving. Buy 5:00 p.m. I was in the ground!!!! The ground passes had by now been reduced to £18. One guy in the queue told me not to believe what the stewards say! (Though I suppose in fairness they were telling people what the "authorities"had told them). BUT HEY ...... why not give everyone the chance to to join the queue which the second lot of stewards actually in the park gave me! To be turned away at the entrance to Wimbledon Park and be told that there is no possibility of getting in that day is terrible. Within an hour and a half I was in the ground!
That was the bad experience. Once I was in the ground I thoroughly enjoyed myself and enjoyed 4 hours of good tennis on the outside courts. I just urge people to stick with it whatever you are told!

We were unlucky with the weather on the day we went and only saw about an hour’s tennis. That isn’t Wimbledon’s fault, of course! We were pleased to be able to buy tickets online for the first time, rather than having to queue for hours outside. I hope they continue to do this, but I suspect the Wimbledon authorities (who probably never have to queue) like to see the ordinary people standing in line for hours. It all adds to the myth of Wimbledon. We parked on car park 6, without booking, for £35 for the day. We did then have to find the end of the queue, which was somewhat perilous as it meant walking in the road with traffic heading towards us or squeezing on the pavement too close to the people already queuing. The queue moved rapidly and we were soon inside. We had court 18 tickets and were rather surprised that our seats were next to other people, with no gap between us. Luckily, there were spare seats on the other side of us so we were able to move along to leave a gap.
The grounds were as beautiful as ever and even when it rained, it was a joy to wander round and take in the surroundings. I’d say about a third of people didn’t wear masks when walking around even though they were supposed to do. Nobody enforced this. I was also surprised that there weren’t more one-way areas, except on one set of stairs.

We were there in late August 2024, of course to carry out the tour and visit the museum. It all starts at gate 5 where they welcome us for a brief recording of our data. A kind lady approaches us and explains the procedure in understandable English. All very fast and without having booked. For those over 60 there is a small discount of 4 euros per person: 26 pounds instead of 30 for the tour + museum formula. Every 15 minutes a group of about fifteen people leaves. The Guide is only in English and the visit to the plant, very pleasant, takes about an hour and a quarter. We enter camp number 1 and especially in the legendary centre court where we sit on armchairs listening to the curiosities revealed by the Guide. After a nice walk through the courtyards we arrive in front of the bronze tree, another fascinating stop where the story is interesting. At the end you can have a hot tea in the large bar next to the statue of Fred Perry.
The museum is more interesting than we thought. Here everything is more understandable because the visit, which lasts about 45 minutes, is done with the Audio Guide in any language. Among the many things to see the first tennis racket and the original of the first regulation of the game. With the help of artificial intelligence we were able to be photographed with Alcaraz and Nadal! We left very happy!

We had grounds tickets, got to the field at 6 45am and had an amazing day, seeing lots of live tennis on Courts 3 and 12 (recommend Court 18 also). If you are going for the day and queuing for a grounds ticket, I would recommend buying a coffee and breakfast from someone else before you get to the grounds from Southfields Station as there are nowhere nearly enough food/drink outlets on the field, meaning you can queue for over an hour for a cup of coffee! Apart from that, the organisation is very good, the staff are friendly and helpful. When you get seats in a court, don't leave one seat gaps! They'd be able to get a lot more people in at end changes if people didnt do that!

I think this must have been our 4th visit this time for a change, just ground tickets good value I thought at £17 pp. They make you jump through hoops a bit with the ticketing system with allocation download app etc I can see people who don't like tech would give up.
Very crowded when arrived but once people in court we had cafes to ourselves. Pergola is our favourite I thought the food and drink was reasonable this year strawberries were amazing and only £2.50.. maybe too many members areas had a good time. Very well organised

I was treated to a tour for my birthday. Really enjoyed the experience. Richard, our guide, was very well informed and made it interesting. Tour took 1 & 1/2 hours and then we were are able to go round the museum with headphones at our own pace. A very iconic place.

We had the most amazing time at Wimbledon yesterday! We found the booking of tickets pretty straightforward and we were lucky to get tickets on court No.2 right at the front! We were blessed with dry/warm weather and we watched Norrie win yesterday, the atmosphere was fantastic. We parked opposite in car park 10, which cost us £30 (electric car so £5 less) and it was a short walk to the entrance. We were in quickly and had to show covid pass and photo ID but it was as all so slick - so many staff and so well trained. We didn’t wear masks when walking around outdoors, only to go into any under cover areas like toilets/food areas etc. A lot of people did wear masks or asking around but equal number didn’t so I think it’s perhaps personal choice at this stage. We didn’t have to wear them when seated watching the matches, very few people did. The whole process is so well organised in every aspect - the cleanliness, the availability of different food and drink options, the ticketing, the schedule. It just seemed to work like clockwork and we had one of the best days ever. Murray Mount last night had an amazing atmosphere and it was fun sitting there with pimms and strawberries. Strawberries and cream only £2.50 a box, not bad really! Thank you Wimbledon, we loved it and will definitely return!

Fabulous day at Wimbledon watching the tennis. We had tickets for court 1 but we also enjoyed watching the games on the other courts, court 14 and 18 and watching it on the screen whilst sitting on the hill. Wimbledon is cashless so don’t expect to use up your cash around the grounds. The Lavazza coffee is excellent……but the queues are very long, you pay an extra £1 per cup which is supposed to be a deposit in order that you return it, but with the long queue you end up dropping your cups in the charity box. We found plenty to eat and drink but many take their own picnics, there are rules on bag sizes (which we adhered to), we did however see some quite large bags arriving into the grounds. The Amex Lounge is great with some lovely freebies (remember to ask for them if not offered), you need to be an Amex card holder or i think you can sign up on the day, the staff are happy to take your photo/s and the setting is beautiful. The staff around the grounds are amazing, friendly and extremely helpful. Getting to the ground was easy on the tube to Southfields and well organised from the tube exit to the Wimbledon entrance, which is about a 15 minute walk.

Hi I managed to get court 1 tickets for this year through the ballots. I will be staying at Kings Cross. I read somewhere that there is a shuttle bus that brings spectators to the grounds, can I verify if that is true and if so, does it do pick up and drop off at Kings Cross? Thank you in advance!
Written 3 February 2020
Hi,
In fact I´ve never heard about that shuttle, The best way to go to Wimbledon is to take District line tube to Southfields and then walk for about 8 minutes up to Wimbledon´s gates.

I have just got a pair of tickets through the ballot. Just want to check we will be sat together as ive heard this isnt always the case ? Is this right ?
Written 22 January 2020
It happens that sometimes the seats are not always together but you can contact Wimbledon through its page , phone them or going to the club to see if it´s possible to get the seats together. I hope my advise will be useful for you
Written 23 January 2020
I got tickets through the ballot but find it very difficult to find information regarding the collection of the tickets!
It says I can pick them up at gate 4 from 10:30 am tomorrow. Have I already been assigned seats when I bought through the ballot, or should I still be there early morning to make sure I don’t get poor seating?
Thank you!!!
Written 9 July 2019
When awarded tickets through the ballot you should have been allocated your seats. We got our tickets through the post and when they arrived we saw our seat numbers for the first time. They will therefore be on the tickets when you collect them. I hope you are as lucky as we were and have a great view of the court.
