Have been attending Project Light - the Parasol Unit's regular workshop for under 5s -since my youngest was 15 months. Love the chance to explore each exhibition with my child, before heading into a dedicated, immersive space that allows ideas from the exhibition to be...More

This is one of my favourite contemporary art galleries in London. The staff are super friendly. It's a non-profit rather than a commercial gallery so you'll see unusual shows here that are less known in the UK. Entry is free. If you time it right,...More

Great shows, no hassle, quiet and well worth a visit. Great programme with work you don't often see elsewhere. Great bookshop and editions for sale.

Brilliant, vibrant, exhilarating art in a perfect space with perfect light, adjoining the more well-known Victoria Miro gallery. Some lovely, friendly knowledgeable staff too, with one exception who stalked us around and chastised us for looking 'too closely' at the (unbounded) installations. 'It's not interactive'...More

Parasol Unit is an exciting and unique contemporary art space just a few minutes walk from Old Street station. Its exhibitions programme is always diverse and engaging, and offers a refreshing departure from some of the more inflated offerings within East London's cultural landscape. Highly...More
