It's good to be back here! Nice vibes as usual and great food! Everything has been set up to make people feel comfortable and safe. Staff is always friendly and smiling.

I popped in today (24th March 2024) at about 4.30pm and I was the only black person in there. There was a group of about 30 non-black people milling about. But as soon as I entered the black bouncer came up to me and told me to leave. When I asked why, he didn't answer, only to say that they said (in his ear piece), that I had to leave. As I mentioned, I am a black man (a professional), over 60years old and carry a cane. I've lived in Brixton since the 1960s and have never felt so insulted in all that time. All I can say about this place is, bring a white friend if you don't want to risk being offended. K.C. McDonald

Mmmmm.....well....
Pros:
A space for people to meet with choice of food and drink that you can mix and match.
Cons:
Expensive
The chicken tacos were ok. The tortilla was corn and nice but the chicken was cold and x3 plam-sized tacos with cheese and guacamole was £17.50. I asked for the pineapple and habanero salsa....was charged £1 for it and it never arrived.
Not somewhere I'll be returning

We stopped here for dinner on a short trip to Brixton. It is a really different sort of place to visit for food and drink. Very on trend with “container unit” being converted to a range of eating venues. Really nice vibe.
NOTE: With Covid-19 this is a seated venue only. It gets very busy so plan your visit. Queues are well managed so do not be put off if you are met by what would seem a long wait. It is worth it. Face covering is a requirement of entry.

We came here during lunchtime on a very hot summer day. Tables with umbrellas downstairs was completely full as it was too hot to sit upstairs so upstairs was empty. Must be very nice in the evening or nighttime when it is cooler. Limit food choice. Only few were opened here. Prefer containers at Camden or Boxpark Shoreditch.

Good food but the girl at security is absolutely horrendous. Probably the unfriendliest security I have ever come across. I saw her chase someone out onto the street because he had walked out with a plastic (yes plastic) mostly empty drinking cup. She grabbed it aggressively, ranting and swearing the meantime. Walked back and threw it in the bin. Really reflects badly on a place that otherwise has delightful staff. Would never go again.

Not very big, quite beautiful...improvised from shipping containers, painted in cheerful colors. A few stands that sell fast food, about 3 that sell alcohol, places at tables that are clearly insufficient when the place is crowded. Beautiful, worth a short stop. However, there are many other locations of the same kind in London, much more attractive.

The food stalls all looked AMAZING. We plumped for Baba G's which was a great shout, along with a jug of Pimms. Could do with a little more seating, even if it was just benches round the outside, but we found a table to share with some other people eventually. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes street food. Only thing i'd change, is the multiple stalls all blasting out different music. Maybe it's just me, but it meant I couldnt enjoy just one bit of music, and couldn't really hear anyone talking to me. Will definitely go again though!

Lovely place nice food and drinks reasonable prices, such a nice vibe inside and how it’s designed and layed out.
Security is awesome so nice and friendly, very welcoming and makes sure you always wear masks When entering and hand sanitising. Definitely will be returning

I was attacked at Brixton POP and I reported the incident to the operational manager Harry. It’s been 3 weeks and he has not responded to my complaint. Females stay away from Brixton POP they do not care about the safety of females. Lack of professionalism.

Do you serve a halal meat option in chicken and lamb at any of your branches?

I do not work at Pop Brixton I only live locally. The area in question is made up of lots of food stalls and I'm sure there are a few that cater for Halal. Halal is as common as vegetarian or vegan choices now.

I am not sure. It is many independent traders so opening varies. I have seen it open twice after gigs at Brixton so presume open until midnight if not later as people were still going in.

It is open from 9 am until 11 pm most days including Monday I believe, but it is worth checking the website by googling pop Brixton. Not all of the vendors are open all day though, but if you do visit during the day and can't find enough to satisfy your cravings, don't forget that there is the excellent Brixton Village market across the road with lots of good static cafes serving Japanese (Okan), Pakistan (Elephant), Caribbean seafood (Etta's), Thai etc. Most of these open around noon. Happy eating!
