For some this is simply a ferry across the River, for me this is much more fun and there is a great view of the Thames barrier just upstream from the ferry crossing

Although we waited 30 minutes in queue to get on ferry, it really was worthwhile as it saved mileage and possible traffic jams which we may have experienced in Blackwall tunnel or Dartford crossing

Yes there are queues but it's a unique way to get across the Thames. Expect the queues but there's a little tea / coffee hut where you can grab a quick snack while you wait and then wait to board and get whisked briefly across...More

A great free ferry service across the river that is often a long weight. However if a three boat service was introduced a lot of problems would go away.

Yes and it’s still free of charge. The ferry takes articulated lorries and everything smaller. Happy travels
