This pub was recommended by our hotel concierge when we asked about pubs in the area. Good food, good drinks for our first night in London. Not too crowded, but it was a Monday night. Watched the soccer game on the TV while we ate.

We were invited for a Get Together of young ones who were once upon a time at school and have stuck together. It was an opportunity for me to interact with successful Baby Boomers. Drinks a plenty and food too. It was a pleasant evening.

Highly recommend this lovely pub and its food. A very good feel to the place and very nicely furnished. Great selection of beers and wine and the menu is going to please everyone. I’ll certainly use this place when I’m in the area next.

I dropped into The Duke of Clarence somewhat by chance having wandered past and then returned after my target gastropub was over crowded. A Sunday night and on my own, this pub was a true oasis. Quirky but homely decor, a good collection of beers...More

We went recently to the refurbished Duke of Clarence with a friend who is a foodie and we were very impressed as was she with the new menu- we shared the sharing plates - chicken waffles, ox cheeks, lamb ribs and black pudding croquettes. Delicious...More

This was a nice pub - well stocked with a variety of drinks, clean tables and toilets, and pleasant staff. Was sorely tempted by the scotch eggs and sausage rolls on the bar, but didn't succumb!

We visited the Duke of Clarence pub as part of a nostalgia tour through this section of London (since it had been 50 years since I lived here). This was a pub that my parents enjoyed having a quick meal at years ago and so...More

This place used to be the place to go in the area, however now there seems to be better places to go now on Old Brompton Road. Not only does it close earlier than it used to but also I was told I wasn't allowed...More

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
