This a a very well located theatre, with a great atmosphere. The bar area downstairs was large enough to cater for a full house and the toilets were clean and modern. The seats were wide and comfortable and there was a cracking view from the stalls. I loved the intimate feel to the place that made for a very pleasurable... More

Booked a table well in advance luckily since none were unreserved when we came. Nice small menu of good food and a very lively atmosphere. Service was speedy and relaxed. Loads of books to read.

The Jerwood Theatre Upstairs is not comfortable for those without generously padded bottoms. It's on the 4th floor and you should use the lift if if you are tired. Seating consists of benches. That said I saw a brilliant production of The Sewing Group that quite took away my discomfort. Added to which the facilities downstairs are great: they include... More

The Royal Court continues in its well established tradition of providing an opening for new writing. Upstairs the studio space creates an intimate performance environment. It's a great contrast to large scale productions - a completely different experience. It's worth knowing that £10 tickets are available to all for Monday night performances, on line only they are released at 09.00... More

We went to watch Unreachable play as a pre wedding date for my daughter who is a big fan of Matt Smith. I wasn't too sure about the play during the first act as it seemed very strange but the combination of the excellent acting and the fast pace of each act made it an enjoyable experience.A special mention to... A visit to the theatre to see the unusual and very good Unreachable, followed by something to eat downstairs. Food was good and well priced. All in all a good experience.

First off, fantastic show. Unreachable is a bit improv and script but an excellent cast really make the show special. The theater itself is cozy. Be warned that the first row of the balcony is for short folks. They do mention that legroom is limited and I'd say if you are taller than 5'8, you're going to be uncomfortable. The... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
