We love to visit Shepherds market when visiting London as a couple, this time with children we decided to pop in Ye Grapes for lunch. On a cold, snowy February day it was so cosy with the fires. We sat in a booth and ordered our comforting pub grub whilst watching rugby on tv. We all enjoyed it and the... More

It was quite by accident we found the Grapes while wandering around Mayfair on a Sunday lunch time. We had a couple of pints of beer from a good selection and ordered some food. The food was mainly Thai, but we ordered fish and chips and a burger. Both were mediocre, and I will not dine there again.

Stopped here for a few drinks before going for a meal. Prices so so for Mayfair, service friendly, good mix of customers and very comfortable. They do food as well. Located in a place worth a visit if you get the chance.

I was in London for a conference and I hooked with colleagues at the pub early afternoon. Traditional Brit pub with ales and a good choice of wines. A warm welcome from staff and management made for a good afternoon/early evening. The big surprise was the Thai food, I must admit I had my doubts but the food was excellent... More

We came across this amazing typical old London pub last year (2016) and had an absolutely lovely meal. We returned again this weekend (Friday 20.01.17 ) for lunch with friends and had another wonderful meal.. We returned on Saturday (21.01.17) with 16 friends for a 60th birthday celebration and yet again we all had a wonderful meal. The atmosphere in... More

Called in for a few beers and to watch the Grand Prix. Landlord is very friendly and happily put the race on. Superb selection of cask ales which are very well cared for, nice food menu. Open fire, lovely atmosphere. Really quaint little pub

I did think this was a lovely london pub. A bit of history. A nice place that I've stopped for a pint or two. On my own, with friends, or with my wife many many times. Not quite as good as the Market Porter but it was a close second for a nice place to go imo. So I walked... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
