The French House pub was the informal "command center" for the French Resistance during World War II. Today the pub hosts theater crowds.

This place has had its best days. Narrow, poor service, arrogant and small beers with high prices. I thought this place had cheap beers but that is a myth. And with this rude service it is no thanks.

Always busy, always something happening, chatty, friendly, enigmatic, arty crowd. Beers, French wines and ciders. Great little snug tables upstairs and down, windows open in the summer, on Stewart drinking/smoking area. French flags flying. As an aside, I'm particular about my gin and tonic and...More

I used to drink here back in the zeroes and liked its quirkyness if not the odd pretension of only selling halves. I drank wine as a consequence. The interior hadn't changed much, the photos of Bacon, Dudley Moore etc getting leathered are nicely assuring....More
