The reviews of this place seem to be inconsistent. There even seems to be the odd inconsistency of what happened here. My opinion for what it's worth is that my pint was excellent, the food overpriced. The sausages are better than the "famous" dogs. Time...More

This historic Pub is a good hang out if you are passing though Whitechapel market. The pub has a good beer garden and serves good craft beers. The food menu is good too. Id come again

seems very corporate, no atmosphere, no sense of it's history, large tables haphazardly placed around, appears to serve fast food in boxes on trays, massive TV takes centre stage. Modernised but not sympathetically. It felt like there's an effort to remove it's association from east...More

Historic pub, not fancy and basic but I felt it was atmospheric. The food is really good the Bros sausages excellent. The pub does not need to get up to date if it it is,trying to let the visitor feel the pub of the 60s.

This was on our places to visit list do to the Kray twins connection, wish I had not bothered, there is very little in the pub its almost bare & it stank of bleach? Had a bottle of Budweiser can say I trusted the beer.

Charged 50p for using a card, despite such charges now being illegal. Not impressed that the management allowed this to happen despite the laws being introduced for months now. Sort it out guys or you'll get in trouble. Class pub otherwise.
