We booked onto the London Eye on what turned out to be a gorgeous sunny day. Although it was very busy, the longish line moved rather quickly. I wouldn’t think that the fast track was really worth the extra cost. The trip around the eye...More

Booked and paid on-line to avoid queuing. However, on arrival there was no internet at the gate so unable to download the tickets. Had to go and find a ticket machine to redeem them, the very thing I sought to avoid by booking on-line -...More

The London Eye was erected since my last visit to town, so I gave it a chance. It was a beautiful sunny clear day, and you could see for miles in every direction. You're in a car that holds 25 people or so, and the...More

The cost is around £27 per person and tickets are purchased quite quickly at the nearby ticket office. Queues were big but there were only 2 of us so we were ushered quite quickly through a fast track option. Be prepared for a bag search...More

Easy. Turned up on Friday rush hour time and walked on in our time slot. No queues. 30 minutes well spent. The touch screen pads helped recognize the landmarks. A fun and trivia commentary would have been good.

This is an amazing experience. However, try to go when there is not too many sight-seers. I was 'lucky' being in a wheelchair and was taken to the front of the queue. But once on board and seated in the pod, it was difficult to...More

Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the
reasons that Southbank is such a collectively
cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly
activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized
river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo
Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and

Don't know about the food question but there's about 20 strangers in the pod with you so I probably wouldn't advise it. I don't know where you'd be able to set up a picnic inside the pod either.
