A great evening
Dec. 2020
Amazing! There are so many fun things to do now at Battersea Powerstation!
We went to Birdies Mini Golf followed by some beers and dinner at Battersea Brewery. A fantastic afternoon and evening.

There are lots more dining options at the Powerstation which we will definitely be going back to try and looks like some fun things on the pier too.

Battersea Power Station is an iconic building on the Thames (reminds me of a similar place in Chicago) its being converted into a place to shop, eat, drink and live, go check it out as it goes through further development its a positive place to live.

Hi TeamWard, thanks for your review. Circus West Village (at the base of the power station) already has over 20 shops, restaurants and bars, and we can't wait to see the station open with heaps more brands joining the line-up.

One of the most iconic Album covers in history , stunning only thing missing was the inflatable pig.
Just think if rumours are to be believed Chelsea’s owner Obramavich wanted to buy Battersea PS and build the new chelsea fc ground in the middle with the towers on each corner,
Thank god they said NO.

Hi Cuddslfc, thank you for the review! That's true, that was one of the ideas that was put forward. Luckily we were given permission to turn it into an amazing mixed-use neighbourhood to live, shop, work, eat, drink and play in! We already have over 20 shops, bars and restaurants in Circus West Village at the base of the Power Station, with lots more to come.

Icon
Aug. 2020 • Couples
Battersea Power Station is one of the icons of London, when we visit the city we are lucky enough to be able see it from a relatives balcony. On our latest trip to London we walked down to the power station to see the work going on. When finished this will ensure it remains an icon for years to come.

Thanks for your review Idgp14... we definitely agree it's an icon! Having featured on album covers such as Pink Floyd's 'Animals', in The Beatles movie 'Help!' and even as a back drop to iconic scenes in 'The Dark Knight Rises' and 'The King's Speech', there is so much cultural history. Not to mention the amazing role it played providing London with a fifth of it's power and as a navigational guide to pilots in WW2. We hope you will come down and visit again when possible to explore our great range of shops, bars and restaurants and to keep an eye on the amazing progress being made.

Work in progress - I look forward to seeing it completed
Aug. 2020
Judging from one of the signs that came from the control room, the electricity at my home may once have come from Battersea Power Station, the huge brick building with its famous chimneys that stands on the bank of the River Thames.

Built in two near-identical phases in the 1930's and 1950's, with the exterior designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, this cathedral to modern technology had been decommissioned by 1983 and sat empty for many years as various proposals for redevelopment came and went.

In 2012, the site was sold to a Malaysian consortium, since when something has actually happened. Phases 1 and 2 are complete and Phase 3 designed by Fosters & Partners and by the American architect Frank Gehry are on site, with the old power station awash with builders as it is refurbished, in part for Apple.
The modern architecture is somewhat quirky but the grandeur of the old power station still shines through.

The riverside is popular with runners and there are cafes and restaurants with outdoor areas open in the first phase, but as you go further inland you move more and more into the world of building contractors.

All in all, I have to admit that I can't wait to see the old Power Station completed and reopened. It should be quite an asset to this part of London

Perhaps London’s biggest building site
Mar. 2020 • Family
The boards stretch for yards along Battersea Park Road advertising the scale of the redevelopment all around Battersea Power Station. Now accessed from both that road and just south of Chelsea Bridge it is already a destination hub of restaurants, bars, a fitness centre and even a cinema amidst a vast residential and commercial building site which surrounds and virtually overwhelms the iconic power station itself. It will one day house the European headquarters of Apple. One of the first restaurants to open beneath railway arches was Mother Pizza from
Denmark which does a mean buffet on a Sunday. There’s also Indian cuisine next door in Cinnamon Kitchen, tapas courtesy of a branch of Brindisa, luxurious seafood provided by Wright Bros, even a dog friendly eaterie courtesy of Megan’s. To cap it all public sculptures and a New Year light festival.

Lost between glass structures
Feb. 2020 • Solo
Once an iconic building on the Thames it is now sadly squashed between glass apartment buildings, the developers are squashing as much onto the site as possible.

Hi Terry, we are sorry you feel that way. The 42-acre site will have 19 acres of open public realm when completed (almost half) so there will be lots of space for people to enjoy when they come to visit.

Amazing Reconstructions
Dec. 2019
We caught the ferry down the river Thames to Battersea Power Station, the biggest brick-built power station in the world, which is currently being renovated. Already extensive and modern luxury apartment buildings have been renovated or built around it, the rentals horrifyingly expensive! We were able to catch the Shuttle back to Vauxhall Station

Hi Eliza272, thank you for your review! The river bus (Uber Boat by Thames Clippers) is one of our favourite ways to get to the Power Station - nothing like those views! We hope you also got to enjoy one of the 20+ bars, restaurants and shops when you came to visit.
