Our guide Molly met us at exit of Tower Hill Station. She was very informative and we thoroughly enjoyed our walk, learning some new information. Although most of the sites from 1888 have been redeveloped there are still some streets and buildings still around, very...More
Most of the places where the crimes occurred now have buildings on top of them so it required a lot of imagination to visualise things. The area looks a lot different to how it used to. The guide did his best to make dad jokes...More

This tour came highly recommended by a travel book of the U.K. and let me tell you we were not disappointed! I knew bits and pieces (pun totally intended) of the murders of Jack the Ripper, but our tour guide, Tom, clearly knew everything there...More

Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a
cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.

not scary or jumpy at all. it's very interesting historically, and it gives a great illustration of how the time and events were back then. they do talk about the murders somewhat graphically but not in a gory fashion. we crossed the wall that separated the west end of london from the east end, which is not really advertised anywhere and you can see the original pub of that era. the guides are professional and first rate. it's a serious and somber presentation, not comical or Hollywood-ish.
