This peaceful walkway is a nice break from the busy hustle and bustle of one of the world's great cities. Althought it can be a bit grotty in places, it is quite safe. The walk from Camden Town to Limehouse Basis - or the other way around - takes about four or five hours total, with lots of opportunities for... More

I am staying with my boyfriend in London and have been walking to meet him after work. Part of the journey includes walking alongside Regents Canal, and it's been my favorite part. I've only walked the section from Camden to Lisson Grove, but along the way you pass through the London Zoo and by some really pretty houses and gardens.... More

Interesting piece of London History. Walked from Camden Town to Canal Museum near Kings Cross. About a 1.5 mile walk along the canal.

Barges use this canal to travel all the way to east Anglia and depending where you are you might have quite an idyllic view. Regents Canal itself runs north of London zoo, going via Little Venice further west. Check the maps and connections if you are really interested in this.

We walked from Kings Cross up the Regents Canal to Regents Park. It was a sunny day and the canal was very still. We started our walk from King Cross station. You can walk behind Kings Cross to the canal quite easily walking towards St Martins London School of Art. We walked passed canal boats along the way and some... More

I caught the tube to Paddington station then followed the signs in the station for "Little Venice". From there you can walk the nearly 14 kilometres of the Regent's Canal to Limehouse Basin. I walked the first kilometre or so then came across a Santander cycle hire stand and decided to cycle the rest of it. This was a great... More

We walked today along the Regents Canal from Kings Cross to Regents Park. It was a fascinating walk along the canal and surprisingly quiet as you are away from the traffic noise. Half way along is Camden Market where you can have a loo stop and spend a couple of hours browsing the various stalls and enjoying a lunch of... More

We started from Little Venice, and walked to Kings Cross, this is a quiet backwater, flat and easy walking, it passes through diverse areas from local authority housing to multi million pound mansions, often within yards of each other. You do appreciate a different view of the city from here. Dry bright weather helped too. Lunched in Camden and enjoyed... More

If you have the time and energy, take a long walk along Regent's Canal, looking at the variety of houseboats moored along it, and stop for coffee at the Pavilion Cafe in Victoria Park. A free, non-touristy London experience.

Thank Mike L
