I visited here with a friend to do something a little different and what a lovely place to go to!
It's free to enter it has beautiful, funny and electric pieces a must visit!
You can get food and drinks, very cheap and cheerful!

Fantastic, unique place, filled with colorful neons - I seriously didn't know where to look! There is a cafe and a couple of tables so ypu can enjoy the atmosphere and take a good look around.

Stumbled across this place online whilst looking for places to take my teenagers in London and it didn’t disappoint. It was just amazing! So quirky, cosy, cool and with a great vibe. The signs are amazing, the music playing was perfect and it was a lovely place to sit and have a drink. Definitely try their own brand lager as it’s delicious! It’s not a massive place so didn’t take long to look round but it’s just something different to do and we loved it.

Great eclectic explosion of Neon in a compact unit, but they have crammed a lot in here. Free entrance. Toilets. Cafe if you want to stop & eat. Bear in mind if visiting with younger children not all of the neon signs may be age appropriate ;)

Very unique and hidden away, some great art pieces for sale and good value. A lovely place to visit, very relaxing and a good vibe. Sadly, has become super touristy and it's a small place meaning not enough space. Very sad as I loved visiting here.

This place, in a nondescript industrial estate in the back blocks of Walthamstow, is a treat. It’s a kaleidoscope of colour, eccentricity, quirkiness and charm. A cafe and bar area is surrounded by a psychedelic wonderland of neon lights, vintage signs, old film props, religious statues, disco balls and retro signs. There are thousands of items here, adorning every inch of walls and ceilings, crammed in without rhyme or reason. It’s occasionally irreverent, occasionally confrontational, occasionally cheesy, but completely fabulous.

God's Own Junkyard is a museum and workshop devoted to neon signs. It was created by Chris Bracey, who in the 1970s joined his father's firm, based in Walthamstow, which made illuminated signs for circuses and fairgrounds. In the 1980s he was specialising in making neon signs for film sets. Today the museum holds over 700 flashing tubes of colour and other weird and wonderful objects d’art!

I just visited the museum, without eating or drinking at the cafe / bar area. You’re free to wander and enjoy it for as long as you want, but can only use mobile phones for photography. I loved the museum and think it’s a little hidden gem in London.

It’s about a 15 minute walk from Walthamstow Central underground and bus station. The venue’s website has clear visual directions you can follow. Check the website for opening times and to make sure it’s open on the day of your visit, as it’s sometimes closed for private functions. It’s in the Ravenswood Industrial Estate, in an unassuming building.

This was my 2nd visit but this time with my family. I love visiting this place as you're always being amazed and in awe. There's so much to see in lights, all little details. Visiting God's Own Junkyard is a MUST when visiting E17! It has a lovely little cafe inside where you can sit down and take un all the beautiful signs and quirkiness of this place.

God's Own Junkyard is an amazing place to visit if you are looking for something quirky. I found out about this place via Atlas Obscura and have been intending to check it out as soon as I could.

The best way to get to it is get the Victoria Line or Overground to Walthamstow Central. I used Google maps to get the final distance fom the station and it was a very pleasant walk through the village and past some lovely houses.

The Junkyard is located in an industrial area and there is a brewery, gin palace and street food stalls in the area. There is also a cafe in the junkyard doing food and drinks so well worth checking out during your visit.

There are some amazing pieces of neon artwork to admire and I would definitely suggest you buy some merch as it is free to visit the junkyard.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
