Lovely Shop and lovely Photo Opportunity
This shop is always a joy to visit! It has a lovely selection of Harry Potter themed items and there's the opportunity to have a photo taken with a trolley at Platform 9 3/4. A professional takes your photo, but you can also have a friend take your photo. So it's not necessary to buy the professional photo unless you really want to and I think that's a great thing as not everyone can afford that and also, not every professional photo is great (the quality, yes, your face in it? Maybe not. ;)). There can be a queue for the shop as it's a smaller shop. And there is always a queue for Platform 9 3/4 so I guess you need to go very early and preferably not at the weekend. And not on school holidays? Later at night, when the shop is closed, the trolley is stored somewhere. But you can still take a photo of yourself with the Platform 9 3/4 sign. So that's an idea. :)

Nice good very magical and unique
It was amazing 🤩 I loved it I had a photo and I am pretty sure that the place is magic indeed I literally had 2 big dreams fulfilled☺️ 1. Make a few Asians happy 2. Go there I loved it 😍 Though I couldn’t give the last star because I have waited in line way too long. Also the price was too high that is why me and my mom got only 3 things

    Great photo opportunity
This is such a great idea, but equally a very clever way to make a lot of money! There was a long wait to get the photo, but it was a great photo to have. There is the option of buying the professional photo, but many were just taking photos on their phones. As expected, the shop is very expensive, but has a great range.

    Totally worth a visit.
We have visited the Studios and as we were in the area wandered into Kings Cross Station. This was great. Yes, there was a long orderly queue to have your picture taken with the Trolley to take you to Platform 9 & 3/4 ,but we went straight to the shop. Staff were very friendly. It's not the biggest shop but it transports you straight back to the Harry Potter Studios. For a few minutes as we wandered through, stocking up on Butter Beer (to take home with us), Bertie Bot sweets and Gringots chocolate coins we forgot we were in the middle of London. We came away with smiles on our faces and surprised at just how many people were fully dressed in Hogwarts clothing, whatever age. Totally worth a visit.

    Great for Harry Potter Fans
We love Harry Potter. We were excited to come to King's Cross Station one day to see Platform 9 3/4 (we did not wait in line to take a photo at the wall. I took a photo of just the wall without us in it). The store is very cool. We got a couple great souveniers.

    BUSY
Very Crowded. Small shop packed with items. Security at door. Backpacks must be worn on the front. I was in/out only got an item I could NOT get in the USA. Everything else is better to mail order.

I arrived at Kings Cross Station at 11am there were 2 lines one for the shop and one for the photo with the trolley. I waited in line for the shop first which took about 30 minutes, the store was very crowded and everything was sooo overpriced! Then I asked a staff member about lining up for a photo with the trolley in the wall, she told me the line continued outside and it was a 2 hour wait. So I waited outside for an hour then was brought inside to still line up for another 40 minutes. As I waited I watched groups of people get multiple photos taken by a guy that worked there and complained about being sick/unwell then when my time came up I asked if the man taking the photos could take a photo on my own camera as I wasn’t planning on buying any photos and she told me they weren’t allowed so the person behind me offered to take the photo. Then the woman asked which scarf I’d like to wear and which pose I’d like to do a jump or just a photo of me lifting my leg up and pointing a wand at the wall. I asked if I could do one of each and she told me no because they were very busy today and have many people in line waiting. So I got my 1 photo after waiting in line for close to 2 hours went inside and waited for 10 minutes to see the 1 photo taken of me. I asked a girl working inside the store if I could get a second photo as I didn’t think that it was fair that I only got 1 photo because I came alone whereas people that came in pairs or as groups got 3-6 photos. So another person took me back outside with an annoyed look on her face then the man taking the photos outside argued with the other worker about taking a second photo, I had another photo taken and then the same man made comment about me having my photo taken just a couple of moments ago. Some of the staff were rude and inconsiderate, I came from Australia and thought to visit the shop and attraction while I was in London which I was quite excited about but left the station quite annoyed & disappointed.

We visited at the time of Christmas... so we had to wait a 20 minutes in a line just to come inside the shop, and more to take a picture at the 9 3:4 platform, inside the shop was magnificent atmosphere. So the teens had a really great time

As a huge Harry Potter fan, we were extremely excited to be able to visit platform 9 and 3/4 for the first time and have a lot of fun in another Harry Potter place we can visit.
I cannot believe the attitude of the staff in there. They were so miserable! The atmosphere could be cut with a knife in there, it was that bad! Totally get the price of the products as it’s standard anywhere you go regarding Harry Potter so not going into that.
We have been to several Harry Potter official places and have loved speaking to staff and all things Potter, because at the end of the day, they’re a place for like minded people and the staff truly show that! Especially at the Photographic exhibition and the studio tour at Leavesden. At kings cross however, they seem to have no enthusiasm, no interest in anything Potter at all, which makes things really awkward. Ironically, a sign is in the window looking for staff with enthusiasm, maybe they can replace the staff in there currently. The girl with blue/green hair on the till could do with either proper training or finding another job! I even heard her say to a customer who was buying a bag “I don’t need to ask you the same boring generic question about needing a bag seeing as you’re buying one do I? It gets so old asking people that” surely she shouldn’t be saying that!
The guy on the wand stand was hitting them like they were hammers making an awful noise! Not the best thing to be doing in a rather small shop!
Harry Potter fans around the world love the Wizarding world. It’s like we’re a huge family, connected by the same thing- our love for Harry Potter. The staff members at platform 9 and 3/4 make you feel so miserable in what’s meant to be a wonderful place. Sort it out Kings Cross!

Bustling with activity, the Harry Potter store has all the merchandise you can dream of. Wearables and collectibles for all the houses and additional merchandise as well, there's nothing you can't find here. You can also get your own customized acceptance letter to Hogwarts. Absolutely magical.

The shop itself was good, the staff let it down. There was a girl on the wands today (23/10/21) at around 11am with long blonde hair who in particular ruined our experience. As I work in a harry potter shop myself, the person I was with asked if I knew all the wands, which I did & went through each one. The girl simply told me I was incorrect about 2 which I identified as being death eater wands. She said they belonged to the carrow twins which I knew to be untrue as we sell alecto carrows wand and it is a completely different wand to the one she pointed out, and is labelled on the box as belonging to this character. Giving out false information about collectors items is not okay as a collector may be lead to purchase these wands believing them to belong to the wrong character. The stock was good with some things I have not seen before (but a very small collection of wands) however the overall experience was disappointing, I doubt I’ll be back.

A special mention to the member of staff on the wand section, absoutley amazing, knew everything about each wand, and made the experice for our daughter more enjoyable.

If you are a Harry Potter fan you have to visit,

However never mind the staff wearing Hufflepuff and Slytherin jumpers. They need to wear masks and stripey black and white jumpers, as the prices are "day light robbery" . Unless the wands can magic money, then us muggles are going to be leaving the store a bit lighter in our wallets.

Again it was an amazing experience for our daughter. I can't fault that.

And I understand people will say "You don't have to buy the merch"
However we are not minge bags, and want to make memories for our daughter. That I suppose is priceless.

Big thank you to all the staff for making it amazing for the kids.

Horrible. A pink short haired lady was disgustingly rude to me and the rest of the store members. She was carrying a box and was shouting ‘move out of the way’ no please or anything, she was coming at full speed through the very busy store. I was attempting to move out of the way but considering it was busy, there was not enough time before this woman barrelled into me, hitting me, leaving a mark that people could see and then going ‘that’s why I said move out the way’. No sorry or anything, genuinely disgusting behaviour, she should take a course on customer service. It’s a shame because I love Harry Potter and the franchise but disappointed at them hiring someone so horrible.

Harry Potter lovers will LOVE THIS! You can have your photo taken pushing a trolley through the wall (though it's always very busy so be prepared to wait) and explore the shop! The shop is amazing and it's hard to go in there and not buy anything! The only thing is, if you don't like big crowds, it might be a bit hard for you as the shop is nearly always crowded. Every time that I've been, there's always been a ton of people, and you have to line up to even get IN the shop.

Still, very good shop and a good place for HP merch!

I'm 12 and a huge Harry Potter fan. I had heard a lot about the shop but was slightly annoyed when I looked at things to buy. This was because while the available items to buy were great, everything was very overpriced. The cheapest item I could find as a souvenir (as in not edible) was £7.95, and it was a small keyring.
Overall I think the shop is very nice to look around but if you are looking to buy anything you'll want to prepare yourself with at least £25.
