My friend who lives locally suggested we paid a vist to the Ground Floor bar last Friday evening for a drink and a bite to eat. Both of us being avid music lovers were told that there was a Dj playing that night. A very dissapointing 'Dj' was playing some tinny 'dance music' as we walked in. It would be... More

We had already been walking for about an hour when we decided to try the Ground Floor Bar for a late breakfast on a Saturday - we were starving, having waited in another cafe for 20 minutes to place our order and finally walked out in frustration. The Ground Floor Bar was fairly empty - which meant we had our... More

Lunch on a saturday. Food arrived 45min later. Staff paid no attention at all. The fish and chips (£13) was the tiniest I have ever seen, there was more batter than fish. The service charge on the bill was 12.5% instead of 10%. I went to this place in December 2014 and had a great experience, food was good. 5... More

Brunch on Saturday. Full English breakfast £10. It arrived 35 minutes later..... One sausage, two pieces of bacon, One tomato, one slice of black pudding, a dollop of scrambled eggs, a HALF mushroom & one piece of toast..... we had to request salt & pepper & ketchup etc.... The egg & the toast was cold. This was not worth £10.... More

Nice inside with old elegant chairs. The service is slow. Food nice. I ate the quinoa burger it was delicious first time I ate a burger like that. Lemon tart delicious too. On Tuesday they make 50% discount if you follow the restaurant on Instagram. We will come back for sure

Stopped for lunch while visiting the market. Wonderful food and atmosphere. Service is a little off but that could be because it was a weekday and only 2 servers working.

Myself and some friends were at the Ground Floor Bar Thursday night for a few drinks, we had intended to go to the electric cinema (across the road) after but instead ended up spending the whole night at ground floor bar (confusing name, the restaurant is first floor restaurant...). At around 8 a DJ started to play and some people... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
