If you want to see how the other half lived back in the 1930's, this is the place to go. Beautiful design and style where ever you look. Clearly this was a building built by people not only obsessed with the artistic glamour of the...More

With a really beautiful exterior, you feel at peace instantly. However, the biggest surprise is the 1930 decor. All in perfect condition. Lost myself completely.

Expecting a Tudor Great Hall, the Art Deco house built in the 1930s abutted on the great hall was a great and exciting surprise! The tour started with a short video followed by a walk through the house with a useful audiovisual guide . Staff...More

Third year in a row with the joust & at last good weather. It's a great day out with medieval recreations for way of life & of course the joust twice a day. Really good entertainment & an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

We spent a family day out in the beautiful gardens of the palace. The event was very well organized and we enjoyed every part of it. My 3 sons /8,10,12/ were really impressed by the knights and the jousting.

We loved it. Mottingham rail station only a 10 minute walk or various buses to Eltham High Street. Don't let the fact that this site is out of London put you off. The audio guide is both informative and fun and really adds to the...More

The Art Deco house is simple stunning with a magnificent circular entrance hall, incorporating a high domed glass inlaid ceiling, curved walls decorated with fine marquetry, and a lovely circular art deco rug and furniture of the 1930's. The tour includes the basement, which was...More

The vastly contrasting styles, of the Great Hall, built by Edward IV, and the rest of the palace, are startling, and yet somehow they work. The Hall is the only surviving part of the building that Henry VIII grew up in, and has been restored...More
