Why, why, why, the same piece of music over and over and over. How many times can you play the same piece of music between 4pm and 9pm 4 nights a week. Too many! What is wrong with your technology department that they are unable...More
I throughly enjoyed our time at the gardens on Sunday evening. The walk just over a mile was lovely and very pretty and Christmassy. As you are given a time the walk is never over crowded which makes it even more enjoyable. We sampled the...More
This place has an art deco addition to a great hall of a palace which just happens to be the one where Henry VIII grew up. The house is very interesting if you are interested in art deco architecture, which I am. The gardens are...More
Can’t say we were very enchanted with this event at Eltham Palace. For £12 non members and £8 members there is a short walk around the grounds, which have been lit quite prettily.
The walkways are very uneven and badly lit ironically. Dangerous for the...More

The palace has a very long history with its historical residents including Henry VIII, however it is the art deco interior design which makes Eltham Palace stand out. The decor and furnishings are incredible and any fan of the 1930s will appreciate the interior.
An enjoyable day but I feel it is rather overpriced. The buildings and gardens are lovely and the children enjoyed the playground. Not impressed by the cafe though.More

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your recent visit to Eltham Palace and Gardens and that you are once again enjoying the benefits of your English Heritage membership. Perhaps you should return in the spring when the gardens will be full of colour once...More
This is a reminder to look at reviews on here - for example the Evamaria whinge about the palace not the gardens shows the danger of democratising critical judgement because not to imagine the point of Eltham Palace/Hall is the art deco is to see...More

We have been before but were quite taken with the place so it was lovely to return. The art deco interior is jaw...More
