Southwark borough came into effect in 1965 when 3 smaller areas amalgamated. Southwark contains many historical and touristic attractions such as; Southwark Cathedral, Tower Bridge, The Shard amongst others. Southwark's borough headquarters is on Tooley Street.

Across from St Paul's Cathedral and the Millennium foot bridge, you find yourself in Southwark. So many interesting places to see, The Shard, The Golden Hind and of course Borough Market. Cross over and take a look.
