Lovely little theatre and easy to find. Very steep inside watching the stage but so ornate and the staff were lovely. Great atmosphere and wonderful to see it has been so well looked after

Decided to get last minute tickets for the woman in black as I love the show but my girlfriend hadn't seen it. The theatre itself is lovely and the architecture is amazing, but being quite a tall man the seats are quite close together and...More

We came to the Friday 8pm showing of Woman in Black. Our seats were B6&B7 in the dress circle, we had a fantastic view. The seats had enough space, me 5’1 it wasn’t a problem. My husband 5’7 did say it was a little tight...More

The Fortune Theatre is a lovely quaint little place with friendly staff. We went to see a 'woman in black'. It's and interesting piece, with only two actors (plus a woman in black) and some fairly long monologues. Its fairly enjoyable, you have to use...More

Went to see Woman in Black, which was very enjoyable. The theatre is very small, but that is part of the charm. I would say that for tall people, the leg room isn’t great but we were in the dress circle and even though I’m...More

A beautiful, small theatre suited perfectly to The Woman in Black. The intimate setting really adds to the show’s atmosphere. This was especially evident when the fog swept over us during the funeral scene. The show was spectacular and being so close to the action...More

Tonight marked my second visit to watch the The Woman In Black. 11 years after coming with school when I was a drama student. This play really captivates the realism of the book written by Susan Hill, bringing the creepy, jumpy and yet (at times)...More

Saw this 20 years ago and so happy to appreciate it after such a long time. Actors were fantastic and plot did not disappoint. Drinks were horrendously expensive and seats tiny those with long legs need not attend!
