For all animal lovers - one of the greatest memorials standing. They served because they had no choice! My Grandfather's horse in the first wild war was called 'socks' - this is such a fitting tribute to all those animals that stood hoof and paw...More

After going for a walk near my hotel I came across this memorial just down from Marble Arch. It is a lovely fitting tribute to all those animals used for various war efforts throughout the years against their will. Well worth a visit.

As an animal lover, I made it a point to wander past here and snap a few years photos on my recent trip to London. It really is a touching memorial to all of the animals who have served over the years.

This is a most unusually designed tribute memorial in that it incorporates 2 and 3 dimensional pieces over a large site area, creating a sculpture of breathtaking splendour. It is parallel to Park Lane, towards the Marble Arch end of Hyde Park.

I came across this interesting monument more or less by accident, heading out of Hyde Park towards Mayfair, avoiding the busy area of Marble Arch.

I had been alerted to this memorial by a friend who had visited London before and recommended this memorial. It is actually outside of Hyde Park, we almost missed it even though we were looking for it. I think it is worth a visit. I...More

I'm afraid I don't know for certain but I would assume that it would be the same day as Remembrance Sunday in November. I may be totally wrong!; you might like to contact the Irish Terrier Association as I assume they might... More
