The St Katharine Docks are located just north of the Tower Bridge. They were built in the beginning of the 19th century as commercial harbor docks, but have been transformed into a recreational complex / marina with shops, restaurants, offices and residential buildings as well....More

We had a day to kill prior to a reception at Westminster. St. Katherine’s docks is the place. So many restaurants, and the water to gaze out at. And if you are a people watcher, like my wife, you could not find a better place....More

We stayed near here for three night and each day came here for a bit of peace and quiet. Lots of places to eat and drink but not too busy. Loved watching the boats coming in and out of here. A lovely place in the...More

Fantastic hidden romantic place. Quiet and calm on late morning. Next to Tower Bridge. You can have a cup of coffee looking at boats. Best on sunny days!

A nice area for a wander. Plenty of food and drink options too. Close to the Tower of London. Lots of small boats moored in the harbour. Nice spot to sit and watch the world go by on a sunny day.

We found St. Katharine Docks after we'd been to see The Tower of London, and what a find! On that occasion they had some of the small craft from the second world war along with the Royal Barge. It has lots of places to eat...More

Spent a lovely hour or two here on a sunny Saturday morning! Felt really chilled and a million miles away from the city! Lots of places to eat with spaces outside to enjoy people and boat watching! Definitely worth a visit!

A lovely calm enclave in the busy Tower of London area. Lots of small boats, coffee shops and restaurants. It was nice to escape the touristy areas for a wander amongst the boats, seeing the Queen's Royal Barge was a nice surprise. Great place to...More

We discovered this hidden area on our second night, and wished we had before. A great place to stroll, taking time to choose between many different restaurants. The large Dickensian themed pub we chose, had 3 levels, each a different food theme.

Yes. The docks in itself is great for kids. There are plenty of eateries that are children friendly. The Dock is literally just yards from Tower Bridge and that in itself is well worth a visit with the children. Enjoy.

There are a few shops. They either sell tourist stuff or things for boats. I work a few yards away and the only places worth visiting are eateries.

There is no direct parking within the marina as it is water bound and a pedestrian area around the boats. Cafes and pubs. No road. It is directly adjacent to tower bridge so if you want to drive in you have the usual... More
