Iconic St Katharine Docks is Central London's only marina and has evolved into a thriving waterside community featuring modern and unusual office space, luxury homes and quayside dining and shopping. A stone's throw from the Tower of London, the site has a fascinating history. Opening in 1828, the Thomas Telford-designed dock was once one of the busiest ports in the UK, renowned for handling luxury goods, sugar, rum, spices, perfumes, wines and tea. Today, St Katharine Docks is home to a range of leading companies and brands including tech incubator Rainmaking Loft, Tom's Kitchen, CAU, Bravas Tapas and artisan coffee shop White Mulberries. Every Friday, the Docks hosts the popular World Food Market, serving some of the capital's best street food.

Great dock - worth a pop in

Great views with boats to see, eateries and coffee shops to pop into and jetty walkways to walk. Good ambience and a nice little walk through there.

I used to live in Wapping and walked through "St Kitts" to get to/from work, I love this place as it has great memories for me. It has been done up in recent years with more bars and restaurants and gets very busy in the evenings with City workers. We love taking our visitors here, despite being next to Tower... More

Due to its location not many know of the dock or go to the dock. It is hidden behind the Tower Bridge on the north side of the Thames river. It's most famous land Mark is Dickens Inn, which to be fair is tourist prices but good none the less. There are 3 floors, lower is bar area, mid is... More

Such a lovely place to take a stroll around and take in the scenary and relax. Plenty of places to eat, or even just pop in for a coffee. Love it around here it's just so London.

This is a charming place. It was a pity that it rained very hard when we passed by, so we couldn't enjoy it that much. Hidden and peaceful place.

Beside the Thames, across the road from The Tower of London, hidden behind the buildings you come across the docks. Moments away from busy city roads there are traditional Thames barges, small leisure yachts, vulgar floating gin palaces and some serious ocean-going vessels- and a sprinkling of restaurants to watch them from. I've watched it through the seasons as I... More

We found St Katharine Dock a place to eat and rest after a very long walk from Victoria St, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, Big Ben and Thames River. There are restaurants overlooking the boats. This is the place to rejuvenate and continue your tour.

Whilst in London we visited St Katherine's dock primarily to go for dinner but it was lovely to wander around even at night it is well lit and the lights are really pretty and twinkly. There is a good selection of restaurants but it is just as much fun to look at all the different boats moored from ancient Thames... More

I used to work in this area back in the early 90's and was surprised how little it's changed in that time which is great as it's always been a little oasis in the nearby hubbub of Tower Hill. Very picturesque with ships docked up. We went in the Dickens Inn which is very large, but absolutely packed on a... More
