- SeantsL1970Edinburgh, United Kingdom105 contributionsStunning live music venue!!Travelled from Scotland for my first time attending a gig at this iconic venue and it did not disappoint!. Larkin Poe and The Sheepdogs provided stunning live sets to fill this venue and the venue was stunning. Used the electronic cloakroom system which was really easy and also appreciated their policy of storing merchandise bought at the gig for free. The venue was amazing -was on the main floor and view was great. Not too sure of some of the balcony seats might be partially obstructed by pillars, but standing area had no issues. Sound and vibe just added to the experience and I will def look to return for future gigs.Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 23 October 2023
- WistfulDragonLondon, United Kingdom12 contributionsWonderful venue for anyone with a disabilityI am a wheelchair user, of the sort that needs someone else to push it, so am extremely trepidatious of going to any venue I do not know. I am so glad I have found the Roundhouse! Accessibility is wonderful, with lifts to the upper floor of the main area, disabled toilets, and staff that couldn't be more supportive and helpful. I saw Larkin Poe and their support act The Sheepdogs and had a wonderful time. True there was a pillar that partially obscured my view but it was a music gig not theatre and the musicians moved around so I did get to see them all. I can thoroughly recommend the venue and the staff for anyone with accessibility problems - including the email responses to my queries, which were fantastically patient and helpful. They can even reserve a parking space for blue badge holders if you drive (I don't, so no problem there). I am now booked in for three more gigs there, and know that I will have a fantastic experience. Thank you Roundhouse!Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 November 2023

- AdamBurt🇬🇧🏴Leeds, United Kingdom1,114 contributionsGreat building with interesting history, seeing my favourite bandWe to see Babymetal (on Monday), got free gifts and got merchs. Had good time and glad to see the band, but there some problem, like when we got there not sure what to do like we are VIP, but lucky security come looking for VIP, and when get my ticket scam it was offline soewhere, it took time to back online when ask staff to be back online she went went to get the scanner which annoyed and worried cos it will go offline. Maybe these problem nothing to do with the building but staff should have scanner still with her. As for building, it was great with alot of history behind it. there few holes on floor on seat area carefull not to drop phone, mini tablet, jewerlly or little things. Also interesting statue on the top of the building.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 24 March 2024

I tried to purchase tickets to James Acaster’s show on the 19th August. Me and my boyfriend were travelling over to London on that date so I put my name down on the waiting list in hopes of getting a ticket. When the waiting list tickets became available, I was 100 in the queue and was able to go in and select my seats to purchase my tickets. When I went to pay, I put in my bank details, and confirmed with the push notification and all. Then an error message came up saying that my payment was taken but the order could not be processed. They had given me an order number so I thought “okay maybe my tickets are safe” I tried to purchase again but got the same error. Meaning €160 was now taken out of my bank account, and no sight of tickets. You would assume that an order reference and payment taken would ensure some tickets were on hold right? I contacted customer service and it took them 2 days to get back to me, even though they claim to get back ASAP/1 day. They told me that nothing could be done and I’d be refunded £68 pounds, but I paid twice? No compensation or anything, as I rightfully had those tickets and they were snatched away from me. If your internal systems cannot handle such a demand and leaves unwilling customers money down and ticketless, just don’t hold those events then. I know it’s a high demand gig but i’ve bought plenty of tickets in the past and have never had this problem. It’s a disgrace and Id just wish for something more to be done.

Very poor as refunding. They told me it would be within 8wk that i would get a refund in a email and now it is running in to 11wk. I have opened a dispute with my bank and they are sorting it.
I would say KEEP all emails from them as your bank will need them.
First and last time i am dealing with this so called venue

Went to see Midge Ure performing at this venue. We'd never been before. Ticketing was mobile only and was very efficient on entry. We opted for seated tickets, part of the original railway shed structure can partial obscure the view (you just need to lean over occasionally). Sound was good and it was great concert and atmosphere. I was lucky enough to be seated by a gentleman who'd been involved in the restoration project who told me all about the history of the building. Closely located to Chalk Farm tube station. A nice venue, would buy tickets again for an artist I wanted to see.

Great venue but their new ticketing system and customer service (or lack thereof) is one of the most frustrating I've ever encountered. I've gone to Roundhouse multiple times and it's never been this bad, so I can only imagine cost-cutting measures were put into place after the pandemic, which seemingly included sacking their entire customer service team and downgrading whatever ticketing system they used.
No tickets sent out even on the day of the show and no way of contacting anybody for more information beyond receiving generic, automated responses. It's difficult to make plans and travel from far to attend a gig when you're not confident you've even got tickets - it shouldn't be this difficult.

Went to see 'Young Fathers' March 10th. There was something desperately wrong with the exiting arrangements at the end of the gig. I am not sure if this is typical but It took over 25mins to leave the venue as the hallways and stairwell were absolutely crammed with people and there was very movement through a single exit. Some people were visibly distressed. When I took this up with stewards, they could not be less interested. A disaster waiting to happen, especially if the crowd becomes spooked and panics.

I used to love going to the roundhouse been going for years..
It makes me really sad to say that now it’s impossible to get in touch with anyone. The customer service is terrible
My emails are getting rejected and I’ve tried messages on Twitter which are ignored
I’ve taken a day off work and driven from Bournemouth to London to see the show
No tickets emailed
Spent £100 on these tickets !!
Not to mention the amount of money in travel and hotel
Ruined my day 😔

We were up in the gods this time when we went to see Clutch. Once again, a superb show. They simply get onstage and get on with it. And that's refreshing!
We chose to sit upstairs simply because age is catching up with me. Looking down into the activity on the floor close to the stage, I realised that it was a great decision. I have had my time in the fray. Time to concede and bequeath it to younger men. A great night.

I’m travelling from manchester by car tomorrow 1/11/18. What’s the best tube station to park at to travel in that way due to no parking at the venue?

How strict are Roundhouse about age limits for concerts e.g - it says u16 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or over but could I get into the concerts without one?
Written 10 October 2018
I have not been there with people of that age range so do not have experience. However I would not encourage you to flout the rules, they are there for a reason. Anyone that looks under 16 may well be asked for ID by security or ticket staff.

Is the queue for downstairs standing the same queue for unreserved seating? If so, is the entry also the same. I normally go for standing but this time I am bagging to get a good unreserved seat, any tips? :)
Written 17 September 2018
Hi go for the seating. Entry is the same. The price is the same or maybe a pound more to do the cheap seats. It depends on the event though. We went to a show that took up most of the floor so going for seats was a much better option.
