My wife read about Archeological Tours on this site, but I was skeptical...some retired archeologist droning on all day? But it was the exact opposite. Edward (could have been Andrew? I'm awful remembering names) was the best tour guide we have ever travelled with. His...More

I was in London for business and had a free Sunday. Since I've lived in London previously, I wasn't interested in the normal sight seeing and decided to try and find a reputable company and visit Stonehenge, something I never did when I lived there...More

We recently took our family of four on this tour ( 2 adults & 2 teens). We loved the small group set up for an amazing day. Our guide provided us with just enough explanation and time to explore on our own. Going with an...More

This was a great tour, small group (7-8 people), with a knowledgable archaeologist (Edward). Time spent at Stonehenge and Avebury was perfect. I would have liked a little bit more in Bath, but I still managed to visit the Roman Baths, eat a quick lunch...More

This trip was phenomenal! Edward was awesome. The entire day; brilliant! Why do this tour with a large tour company when you can do it with an archaeologist who has actually excavated in all these places? You could not possibly find a better tour of...More

In mid February we visited London and booked with Archaeologist Guided Tours for Stonehenge and Bath. This almost private tour was the highlight of our London trip for visiting and understanding ancient England. Edward, our guide, was very personable, knowledgeable and energetic. We were fortunate...More

We will be staying in London at the St. James Court Hotel and concerned about getting to the meeting site near the Natural History Museum early on a Sunday for the Bath, Stonehenge, Avenbury tour. How is it best to get to the meeting place from our hotel. It doesn't look easy.

Early on a Sunday morning you should be fine either with the tube or by taxi. Traffic should be minimal on a Sunday. You can actually plan your underground trip using this webpage - tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journey/
On the Sunday tour to Stonehenge do you visit the visitors center ?
