Big Ben is now cloaked in Scaffolding, however Westminster houses of parliament remain magnificent. There is a huge multi billion refurbishment taking place which will preserve this heart of democracy for future generations.

You can't see the Big Ben clock tower and half of Parliament is also behind scaffolding. But this is more about walking through the area. Westminster Abbey is readily available ( but it is really expensive). Come back at 5pm for Evensong, which is impressive...More

This is such a stunning building. At the moment there is some scaffolding covering some parts but you can still see how utterly beautiful it is.

We visited Westminster as part of a larger walking tour this weekend. It is a must see for locals and tourists alike. Beautiful Gothic buildings appear to light up in good weather - perfect photograph opportunities.

Great audio tour, informative and interesting for a reasonable price. One can really feel the history and power of the place.

Most visitors to London will visit Parliament Square to look at 'Big Ben' and many will visit Westminster Abbey but few will go further. There are a few less known places within 5 minutes walk that I would recommend. Victoria Tower Gardens to the West...More

Westminster is a really lovely area to wander through and sightsee. There is, for a start, the Parliament House and Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and numerous other things to see, as well as the Thames. Many shops, and restaurants too.

I come to Westminster three or four times a year with work. I never tire of the views in this area. There is so much going on. Westminster Abbey, The Houses of Parliament, Parliament Square are the heavyweights but there are lots more. The area...More

Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
