The spectacular Westminster never fails to impress, Big Ben, the houses of parliament and so much more. Just don't go when the London Marathon is on.. Disaster..you can't move at all!!

We viewed the Cathedral, did the Audio tour....This building is not only historical but a work of art that thankfully has weathered time! Everything from the ceilings, the organs, the choir, the chapels was totally breathtaking beauty! Was amazed at how many people, other than Royalty is buried within it's walls. Your trip would not be complete without a trip... More

So impressive to be in this area of London. Rich in history, and incredibly impressive architecture.

You can view it in an hour or two, but it is a must see if you go to London. Gorgeous building, anyone can appreciate the work that went into building this at the time. Many tombs to see including Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Mary.

It is known for the wedding venue of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. It is also where Prince William and Kate Middleton were married. Many famous royals are buried. King Richard II, Queen Victoria etc. Many historical information to read. Only the royal or aristrocats can marry. You could easily spend 3 hours exploring this gem. Only thing to watch... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
