We stopped here on our last day in London. We took tube to Piccadilly Square and walked past all the designer shops a 5-10 minute walk. We were greeted with a lovely, quaint store that really makes you forget the bustle of the city. There are teas and chocolates to sample and a couple of seats for those who need... More

Had to buy something here to satisfy my inner history nerd. Not as expensive as expected. Cool gift ideas.

One is not only spoilt for choice in this elegant shop, one can taste various offeris (teas, chocolate creations, cheese biscuits) before making purchases. Service is warm and helpful. Furthermore, packaging makes the souvenir items wonderful presents to family members and friends or colleagues. The tea sets are lovely and make excellent Christmas or birthday presents. Try he ice cream... More

As per another review, the store manager is unwelcoming and downright rude. I recommend going to Harrods for your gift shopping (as I did). I set aside a whole work lunch break to go browse the lovely teas and treats during my business trip. After snapping one or two photos to send back home to ask my family members what... More

In a quiet square within a short walk of Picadilly and Pall Mall. Absolute elegance and comfortable rooms. One does not need to wear a tie and jacket to go back and forth to your rooms and the street, but you do for using the club such as dining. Well worth putting on a tie and jacket to have the... So glad I stopped here. The service was great and they had some wonderful samples. A great selection of teas, herbal teas and high quality treats. I purchased several tea blends and the chocolate covered ginger. The sales girl was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend East India Company for tea and treats.

This is a nice store which would only worth a visit if they fired their store manager. I've never experienced such atrocious customer service in my entire life. I witnessed him accosting at a perfectly nice group of people today just because they were in front of a display that someone else was trying to look at. As soon as... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
