The “Broadway” of London, I actually enjoy this theater district more! Definitely take in a show if you have the opportunity. Last minute tickets can get pretty cheap! My theater rule is to see something native to the country I’m in, if possible.

I enjoyed a walk down Shaftesbury Avenue on a recent visit to London. Very pleasant to walk down and enjoy the atmosphere of Central London.
Everywhere seemed no more than 10 minutes by foot , tube close by as was Covent Garden etc. No problems getting nice eateries , Oxford street shopping just up the street.
Unfortunately, just lots of tacky tourist places and low end cafes most people just walking through on their way to or from the theatre there's really nothing to hang around here for. I went to the Odeon cinema which was nothing special, an ugly building.
This street in the West End of London runs from Piccadilly Circus to new Oxford Street. It is on the boundary of Chinatown with many theatres and restaurants located here. A bustling area with lots of street artists providing entertainment here in the evenings.
