Interesting and thought provoking view of design, capturing the interaction between the three key roles of designer, manufacturer and user. I liked the (free) exhibit on "The New Old", i.e. the focus on needs and opportunities of the aging population. The main exhibit is on...More

I'd been looking forward to visiting the new Design museum for such a long time. The building is lovely but the exhibit space inside is very limited and poorly laid out. The main free display is on the top floor, seemingly poked into one small...More

What a wasted opportunity! A vast building in an open site with basically nothing in it. Seems they prefer to celebrate the building itself rather than excellence of design, and interesting though it is, it is no so enthralling to warrant a 2 hour visit...More

Design Museum is very much what you would expect - a decent café, lots of exhibition space, and a shop. The café attracted us for lunch and didn't disappoint. Plenty of vegetarian options. The exhibition itself is thoughtful and comprehensive. Have fun!

We went specifically to see the Cycling exhibition so the fact it was the only floor open wasn't a disappointment; however, I was expected more in a few ways. The collection is merely a range of bikes with very little to tie them together or...More
