Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a lovely dry and clear day so views were great cross London. Plenty of walks, children's parks and place to picnic or cafe to eat

Lovely place! Visited the parkrun (two lap lollipop course) with some decent hills for London. Really felt peaceful and away from the city, but with lovely ‘village’ buildings all around. Lovely walks and stunning views from parliament hill. Easy to get to from the Northern line. Definitely worth a visit.

If this is the only open space you have in London then I suppose it is worth going to. Maybe we are spoilt leaving near the New Forest and the Purbecks but not impressed at all. It was a walk in open space. Once inside the park you have to guess which way you want to go. The "wildlife" areas seem an excuse to let stuff get overgrown and unkept ( which I know is the point but too much of the area is now for the wildlife and if there is no wildlife during the day as there are so many people it is not very interesting to look at). The villages which skirt the Heath are very lovely though, so have a quick walk on the park and then go for a walk around the villages instead.

Excellent vast area of Open space in the heart of one of the World's most populated cities. Amazing how intact it has been left and ow well maintained it is. I enjoy walking cycling there, although cycling officially it is not allowed , but then again, as a taxpayer, I have my rights and will use them when necessary.

This is a vast park full of woods, trails and a few formal garden areas. It is close in — I even managed to master (not hard at all!) taking a city bus to it. Great for a stroll any time of year.

Hampstead Heath is a wild area of London. It has rambling woods, numerous ponds and hills. Hampstead Heath is well-known for being one the highest vantage points in London. From the ridge, you can see many sights including St Paul's and the City of London. The ridge is 134 meters tall (325 feet). Hampstead Heath is a common, it dates back to Roman times. Hampstead Heath is a popular place for hiking and swimming. Among those who have enjoyed strolling in the park are Karl Marx and George Michael. Hampstead Heath is 320 ha (790 acres) in area.

My wife found a walk around the Heath on-line, so we followed this route, starting from Hampstead tube station. Was a great walk, took us just over two hours.

Went past the Goldfinger House, various bathing lakes. Parliament Hill viewpoint, and around Kenwood House. A great circular walk, not too muddy but was a bit up and down.

All free of charge too.

Very popular, especially with dog walkers.
