This was my third trip to the Puppet Theatre Barge, each time when moored in Little Venice, and each time with small children. We hope to change that my seeing the Ancient Mariner in November, though! There is something about well done puppetry that captures the imaginations of small children like little else. Put that on an old barge on... More

What a great thing to do with the kids! From the minute you step on the barge (exciting for the children already!) to the cozy surroundings, great quality puppets and really amazing performance. I went with a two year old and a six year old who both loved it and I wasn't bored myself either! Highly recommend.

We came here recently with my daughter who's 5, she enjoyed the puppet show and so did I. It took my a good ten minutes to get into the show just because of me being used to the modern day shows, the big screens and loudness but once I got into the show I really enjoyed it as did my... More

We highly recommend a trip to the puppet barge for either the children's or the adult shows. We recently saw the children's show "Fowl Play" at Richmond. The theatre is beautiful and charming and much bigger than you would think and decorated with puppets. The staff could not be more helpful with the seating, making sure that children are sat... We visited the puppet barge theatre today and saw "Fowl Play - A Farmyard Adventure." After reading the earlier reviews we were very excited to see a show. Unfortunately, this particular show didn't live up to our expectations. Pros: -Unique location & venue -Very friendly staff -Reasonable ticket prices -Good sound system, lighting, effects Cons: -The story is in need... More

The most magical show, this is nor your end of pier puppet show but a wonderful visual and audio experience. Combines music, fine actors voices, and the most talented marionette puppeteers you will find anywhere. Do not miss this wonderfully professional theatrical experience staged with such imagination it will take your breath away. If that was not enough, a theatre... More

This puppet show is only beaten by the big west end theatres. as a adult I was on the edge of my seat, the lighting effects was phenomenal and the plot line just dark enough to interest. As for the children, I have never seen a room of 30 plus kids so quiet. my three year old didn't say a... More

This was our second visit to the barge and we were not disappointed. An amazing show, with Simon callow voicing Scrooge in A Christmas Carol. The barge was packed, which made getting a good view, slightly hard, but one everyone settled down the magic started. The staff work to seat children behind other children, so they get the best chance... More

An all ages unique theatre experience. So much more than a puppet show. My son aged nine was absolutely transfixed. From the setting in beautiful Little Venice, to the juggling marionettes, the Puppet Theatre Barge was one of the highlights of our two week literary tour of London. I cannot say enough about this quaint little theatre. Book well in... More

Fantastic afternoon fun for children or adults. A short 30 minute performance enhanced by its surroundings on a barge on the Regent's Canal. Beautiful walk to the barge in a leafy London neighbourhood. Stop for a pint after and you've had a great London day. A secret London experience.
