Lovely little pub In the middle of soho, having been before and read reviews since I had to try this again, and yet again I wasn't disappointed. We went for our dinner before a shopping trip to oxford street and I have to say it was amazing. the server on the food floor (James) was so friendly and helpful throughout... More

Visited this little gem of a pub in Soho, which was really very crowded, but was glad we had booked a table in the upstairs restaurant as it was very cosy and not overcrowded. The beer (Ilkley Mary Jane) was a lovely golden beer with great flavour. The food choice was excellent, and I can highly recommend the Nicolson's Chicken... More

My girlfriend and I liked the look of this pub from the outside so went in. As we went in and approached the bar a rather large unfriendly looking guy behind the bar looked at us rather unamused, looking at us up and down then grunted something at us. Not kind of inviting greeting that made us want to stay... More

We searched this place out as part of a trip of London s oldest pubs. Really nice interior, just the kind of place we were looking for. The barman however was far from hospitable, the most miserable man, totally unsuitable for a beautiful old pub like this. Maybe he's the owner? If not, I'd suggest the owner finds a more... More

We were meeting my bf's collegues in Soho, at this charming, lively and nice place. For me as a Dutch woman it was a great experience. I loved the small wooden things attached to the wall so you can put your glass on it. There are heaters everywhere so it was no problem standing outside. People were really friendly and... More

After dining in Chinatown, we had a few pints & some shots at George Orwell´s favored location. Everything was fine, the team as well as the clientele ... and some Hare Krishnas followers were dancing on the street. Great location, wonderful interior... nice people ...

Met our daughter and her husband for a drink here early evening last Saturday before they joined friends for dinner at L'escargot. The bar was very small, very busy and very noisy. The choice of ale was excellent and we popped upstairs to the restaurant to book for dinner for about 7.30. The waitress, Anna, explained that they were not... More

After Christmas shopping this small, quaint pub was the perfect spot for lunch. The history and ambiance was perfect for December. We were lucky to get the last table in a very small dining area but the food was tasty and considering the area; not outrageous. Will definitely be back.

Thank kylienz

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
