- user123456United Kingdom1,643 contributionsDon’t rushThe markets are much smaller these days, yet still jam packed with thousands of unique items & gifts. Spend hours wandering around the small pathways, get lost amongst the stalls, find that item you didn't even know you needed. Grab a coffee from the Stables cafe. Most stalls do not allow photos unfortunately.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 12 October 2023
- fire-tower3,474 contributionsThe market as well as the surrounding area were very crowdedWe visited Camden Market on a Saturday morning. The market as well as the surrounding area were very crowded, both with locals and tourists. There were many stalls selling food, clothing, records and CDs, etc. The food that we bought were actually very good.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 14 October 2023
- Jade BGrimsby, United Kingdom16 contributionsDefinitely recommendDefinitely worth visiting if your in London, the market is fabulous to walk around. However the food is just unbelievable and worth visiting only for the food. I would advise getting their before opening 10:30 ish to avoid the busy crowds we did this and didn’t have to wait for food once the stores opened at 11:00 ( we visited on a Sunday). Would highly recommend planing a visit here in to your London weekend.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 October 2023

Happy to purchase a wine bottle containing corkacrew, foil cutter, drip collar, pourer, bottle stopper. Very well presented for ÂŁ15. Bargain. I'll be back from Birmingham some time soon.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 4 November 2023
- Stella CCologne, Germany27 contributionsgreat for a nice stroll and very sceniccamden market and the way to it from the trainstation were very pleasant, we met nice people, the street artist were nice and one could bargain on nice clothes and shoes. the prices were great, nothing too expensive compared to the other food markets one can go to. there is something for everyone. the polish sausage is a must!Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 17 November 2023
- caseyEdinburgh, United Kingdom1,977 contributionsGood day out!Camden market has a buzzing atmosphere. It’s a maze of vintage shops, leather goods, accessories, books, record shops, toys and food kiosks all situated in old stables. Here you will also find the Amy Winehouse Statue which I’m a big fan of and took multiple photos. I would plan to spend a good few hours here as there is so many shops and stalls and things to see but it’s time and money well spent but it can be an expensive day out.Visited November 2023Travelled soloWritten 19 November 2023
- claire p11 contributionsMagical marketWhat a fun magical market that seems to go on forever. You can buy anything you could possibly want/need here. Food stalls are great. Little pods for eating are a great addition. We went on a Monday so it was nice and busy but we could still walk around. I don’t think I could handle the crowds on a weekendVisited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 November 2023
- Amanda GHuntingdon, United Kingdom288 contributionsPre Christmas trip 🎄We popped down to London for an afternoon at Camden Market this is our second time visiting. I wanted to go later to appreciate the ambience and lights. Surprisingly it wasn’t crazy busy and we were able to amble around and found some places we hadn’t been before. I’m a vinyl record enthusiast and last time we went I purchased a record from my teens the , we went back this time and I got a nice haul to add to my collection. All topped off by her saying to me oh yes I remember you purchased “Terence Trent Darby” blown away by that 🥰 So much food choice where do you start you could eat your way around the world 🌍 the smells are incredible. We opted for Yorkshire burrito on this occasion and it was totally awesome 🙌 followed by the insta revolution of chin chin signature hot chocolate. Totally 💯 % worth a visit ❤️ lots to see and do as always but a great little shop also worth a look is Oddballs it’s nostalgia in a shop as at some point energy child has had something from this era 🥰Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 December 2023

Close to our home (We stayed at the Holiday Inn Camden Lock) and close to the underground. Don't miss this when traveling to London!Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 28 December 2023

My husband got a cool jacket that he has gotten so many compliments on not only when he wore it in London but here in the US. But you must bargain, don't go with the first price they offer you, even in the shops.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 December 2023

Blimey, what on Earth has happened to the place?? I used to visit here a lot with friends around 25 years ago. The High Street now has wall-to-wall shops selling key ring landfill cr@p. As for The Market, well it used to hip and cool with loads of second hand clothes and furniture stalls in the old stable courtyard and really cheap world food to be enjoyed on the move. Now all the stalls are in purpose built pods, the rent of which has pushed prices through the roof. Maybe a victim of the modern Health & Safety culture or just plain greed? Who knows.
But, trust me on this one; it is a shadow of its former self and no longer has the same chilled vibe. Shame.

Was OK for a day out, though personally I don’t think I would want to go again. I found it all very expensive, though my daughter liked the Jeans shop where you could pick up a pair of Levi’s for £15. Food was a bit limited, I am on a low carb diet so can’t have pasta, rice, potatoes or bread, so didn’t have anything to eat! Whilst we were there we took a very nice trip down the canal on The Music Boat, Where we were serenaded by an excellent singer who played his guitar. A lovely 45 minute trip.

Was not impressed, stalls are mostly schlocky stuff you can buy anywhere. There are a lot of eateries but most of the seating is outside. We visited on a weekday in January and it was so crowded I would not want to come on a Saturday. Not sure what all the hype is about.

Massive, so much to see and so much to do we went on a Friday morning was very busy lots of people around.
Plenty to buy and to eat and a great day out, lots of nooks and you might find yourself doubling back on yourself
Some beautiful artwork on the older buildings too.
Definitely recommend for a good day out for any budget.

Really concerned to see the behaviour of food sellers in the Asian alley section of Camden Market today.
We are in the middle of a pandemic, locked-down in tier 4 and I saw vendors on two different stalls holding out food with tongs for passers by to taste!
This is crazy. This virus as we know can spread from hand to hand from person to person and yet they are behaving recklessly! Anybody can touch the serving tongs with their hands and many many people pass through this market daily.
These same tongs no doubt go back into the cooked food trays and serving containers cross contaminating the meals being served. This is outrageous!
Camden Market is a major public space in London and needs to stop all sampling/tastings immediately!
They must take their responsibility seriously to control the spread of this virus and the misery it is causing to everyone's lives.
Dissapointing Camden Market!

I went there with a friend 2 weeks ago, I thought most of the stalls at the market were tacky, expensive and for tourists from other countries. I enjoyed the thai food in the food stalls and the cookie dough stall called Naked Dough. The vagina museum was also interesting. I'm in no rush to go back though.

Offers various types of international cuisine via food trucks, eclectic shops and outdoor vendors, and great people watching. We were looking for concert shirts to bring back home and one of our tour guides recommended that we go. It didn't disappoint!

10 minutes on the underground from the city centre is Camden Town and Market. The area is very Hip and Bohemian. Lots of street art (tasteful, not tags or graffiti). The market itself wasa good size with so many warrens and quirky stalls, sellers etc. It can be a pick pockets paradise given the narrow alleys and large crowds but other than that, the whole vibe is a relaxed one.
There is lots to see and a few eateries. CyberDog is worth a visit (you will know when you have found it) lol.
I am not sure what I expected but left feeling that I had "done" it but was not memorable. Don't think I would return but if you have a travel pass and a spare hour, get yourself along :)

Variety of shops! From goth to nerdy stuff to historical pieces.
My fave has to be the moomin shop that is nearby the entrace, their products are so cute and somewhat cheap too! Food was also very tasty. I had some chinese and it was delicious.
But some sellers are so insistent on making you buy their products...even during the pandemic. This one vendor wanted my friend to buy a dress just because she seemed to like it. When my friend said that she will think about it, he insisted on making hee try the dress on and literally cinched her waist so suddenly! What a creep...
Also be aware of creepy men. As we ate lunch on a bench, some creepy dudes catcalled us and it was so uncomfortable. Apart from that nonsense, the market is not too shabby, albeit there was so many pricey products.

What tube station would i need to take from oxford street to camden market
Written 3 November 2023
From Oxford Circus. Victoria line to Warren Street, change to the Northern line to Camden Town.
Tottenham Court Road, Northern Line.
Bond Street. Central to Oxford Circus, then as above.
If you are using the tube to return, I would suggest using Mornington crescent. It is a few minutes walk and far less busy than Camden town. You can queue for ages to get on a tube at Camden Town if it is busy.

So sorry I went during Christmas market. Lots of food vendors. I don’t think it was the normal set up. Mostly foods, wine, cheese, There is however a jewelry antique mall in downtown London.

Bonjour,
J’aimerais savoir si les magasins de vêtements sont ouverts à Camdem Town le lundi 18 avril 2022 (jour de Pâques). Comme c’est un jour férié j’ai peur que ce soit fermé quand on arrive.
Merci par avance.

Are the food and drink stalls open in Camden Market, or are they shut due to covid??
I appreciate the feedback

They were open in the previous non-lockdown back in September, i would imagine not currently

Hi, we went a few weeks ago and bought a handmade alien/monster kind of toy/model thing that you could move and reshape from a bloke on a tiny stall just as you walk into the market. The lad was lovely and made them all himself. My son is Autistic/ADHD and he really loves it... can't remember the name of the stall ... can anyone help? Is he online at all?
Written 13 January 2020
Check the Camden Market website and see if there is any info there that can help. If not, you can always email them with the info you have and maybe they can help you figure out which stall it was... Good luck!
