Probably the world's most famous zoo, ZSL London Zoo has been entertaining and delighting visitors since it opened to the public in 1847. Part of the charm is that it is in Regents Park and ours was a pleasant Spring Day. We booked on line which saves money and time as used the free app to navigate. Great live shows. Not cheap but fun.

Had a few hours to kill in London that didn't involve shopping and this fitted the bill. Buy your tickets online it's cheaper you avoid the huge queues. Really good animal experience and the animals seem very happy and well looked after. The only quibble we had was the lack of normal refreshments not a decent sandwich in sight so... More

The zoo was amazing!! We arrived at 12 and stayed until closing time (6pm) and still didn't see everything. The variety of animals is excellent and they even do 'live' sessions throughout the day, where a member of staff talks about a certain animal and then a zoo keeper feeds it, so you can see it up close and personal.... My partner and I came here buying tickets in advance so it's cheaper than buying on the gate. Staff were enthusiastic and happy to help point us in the direction of certain animals because the map that you get given is quite confusing. There is plenty to see when you get there, spent a fair bit of time looking at... More

Don't get it. It's a zoo and some of the animals wasn't there (tigers and gorilla) it just give a dissatisfaction. Write it on the homepage. Also it feels dirty. The reason it gets 3 stars it's because the animals have okay space. But it could have been a better experience. Butterflies were cool.

It's been decades since we visited the zoo and there were still some of the original buildings which did look a bit old and in need of a makeover. However, there are many new buildings and enclosures which were excellent. A very nice restaurant, but it was expensive, so bring a packed lunch if money is tight (plenty of seats... More

We took two 2 year olds on a non-school holiday midweek trip. Many areas were very suitable e.g. lemurs, rain forest area and meerkats, plus penguins, reptiles. The Terrace Restaurant had a reasonable selection of food but the sides for hot food were pricey and not of a good enough quality. We would take a picnic next time. Overall a... More

We went on Easter Bank Holiday and we were surprised that it wasn't too busy. The zoo has a good lay-out and I particularly liked the indian village. I enjoyed seeing the smaller animals and some of the feedings. Then came lunch and the time to observe the animal with the most unusual behaviour, the human. We saw a BBQ... More

I went with my boyfriend to ZSL London zoo, it was originally purchased as a gift for a friend who couldn't attend so he gave it back and therefore I got to experience this amazing day with my partner and had a date day. We spent the day at the zoo exploring, taking photographs and having a good day together!... More

This is a great zoo with a good mix of animals, which you could get quite close to. We enjoyed seeing the penguins being fed, the aquarium, the butterflies and much more.
