Vivienne Haxby was a fabulous guide. She was so passionate about the history and so knowledgeable especially about the crown jewels. She was so welcoming and fun. We visited many other attractions but this was absoultely our favorite. If your crazy about English Royalty history like me, you will truly enjoy! There is a pub near by called Hung Drawn... More

This is a super long overdue review of Dr Lawrence Owens as a tour guide for the British Museum!! He was very very good with the children. I was most impressed that he got my 8 year old interested in history. He was funny and SUPER SUPER knowledgable. I would 100% recommend him. The museum is so large. It is... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide was a pleasure to be with and she filled in so many gaps in history that we had. Thanks for an excellent time.

Took my first ever trip to London the first week of May 2017 and traveled with a friend (who had already visited several times). At the advice of a travel professional in the states, we booked Context tours - Tower of London, Portrait of a City & Churchill War Rooms. Each tour impressed both of us. Our docents were all... We toured Salisbury by car, Stonehenge and Bath by foot. Rosemary was so pleasant to be with. She was knowledgeable about the subject matter and incredibly enthused- which was quite infectious. She was open to questions about anything British. I would certainly recommend Rosemary to anyone wanting a friendly, patient and knowledgeable guide.

We arranged a private tour of Stonehenge and Bath with Hazel. She met us at the train, provided premium parking and express entry @ Stonehenge and gave an insider's expert viewpoint of Bath. Even my two teenagers were enthralled! Plan on a full day, wear layers and bring snacks/water and a good camera. The phone camera doesn't do justice.

My husband & I were traveling in London with our 3 boys (12, 12 & 9) and were looking for tours that would keep them interested and engaged. We booked the Tower of London for families (Philippa Owen), British Museum for families (Lawrence Owens) and Stonehenge/Bath (Sean Moran) and could not be happier than the experiences they provided for our... I feel a bit guilty about the low rating here, because Context Tours has mostly glowing reviews. I think the huge crowds were the majority of the problem and not necessarily Context Tour itself, but I was hugely disappointed with our tour of the Tower of London. This was an expensive splurge for our family and one of the things... More

Dear Laurie417, Thank you for your feedback. While we're pleased that you felt your docent was knowledgable and kind, we were sorry to read that you felt the experience was different from expected. We do send a client survey after every walk but having not received yours, were not aware there was an issue. Last week was an exceptionally busy... More

We visited the Tower of London with Sarah Jane in March. It was truly a highlight of our trip. To preface this, we were 30 minutes late for our tour (wrong direction on Tube). I was able to email Context in London to let them know, but also realize that time is valuable for anyone. When we finally got to... More

Context's small group, three-hour culinary tour is a foodie's delight. We traveled to the beat of our expert guide and visited Fortnum and Mason, Paxton and Whitfield's cheese shop (where the royals get their cheese), one of London's historic chocolate shops and an Algerian coffee store to name a few. Loved the secret corners of Chinatown, Soho and taste testing... More
