Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Probably the worst IMAX I've been to. Depending where you sit either the bottom of the screen can't be seen (middle 6 seats of row D, and only slightly better in row E) or you have you site line spoilt by the absurd idea of putting the cinema entrance right down the middle ending by the screen. Every late arrival or toilet break will mean someone walking across the screen right where you are looking.
The seats themselves are very nice, but that no way makes up for the absurd design of the cinema.

I went here last month to see Dune Part II because the IMAX here is cheaper, and honestly, it wasn't worth the money.
The screen was smaller compared to regular IMAX screens in Asia. The image wasn't very clear or sharp either, not better than the Dolby screens in Odeon West End or Leicester Square which are two pounds cheaper than here.
While this is the only IMAX cinema in London where you can recline, the experience isn't great. Some seats weren't well-maintained, with peeling tables and dirt. When you recline, the design isn't thought out well—the seat separator blocks part of the screen, so it feels like a waste of money.
Also, if you book certain rows, your view might be blocked by the entrance's architectural structure, which is quite odd. They positioned the entrance right in front of the middle part of the screen—it's hard to describe, but you'll notice it when you're there......To get a clear view, you have to sit really upright and try to ignore the architectural obstruction.

This Odeon Luxe cinema is a 5 minute walk and always been so happy with the cinema . That is until last few visits . 1st time as the film ended and we sat up our seats a large mouse ran from under us and down the steps . I am so scared of mice that I just ran straight out of the cinema and vowed I would never go back but as we are limitless members this would mean we would be wasting our money on our pre paid membership . So I forced myself to go a while later to avoid my husband and daughter being disappointed . This time I made myself avoid looking at the floor and was happy that I didn't see anything . Last night my daughter went to see the marvel movie and after called me to say that maybe I should avoid the cinema as again she had seen a mouse and then told me that the last time she had also seen one but had not let me know as she knows how scared I am . I am so disappointed that I now feel that I will be unable to return to this cinema as that is 3 times on the last 3 visits that there have been mice running around the screen . This is a luxury cinema with tickets costing around £18 each . They tell you to sit back , relax and enjoy the movie but this is difficult knowing that there are mice running around under your seats . I have been trying to find a way to report this to the cinema without having to go in but so far no have not been able to find a way . Hoping this problem is sorted asap . Would usually only have good things to say about this cinema and felt so lucky that our local cinema was so good but now don't think I could bring myself to go back .

The smaller screens are excellent with a good atmosphere, plenty of leg room and super comfy reclining chairs.
The old(er) fella (cant remember his name maybe Andy?) who served us tickets and food provided excellent customer service and was very chatty.
At £12.50 for student tickets the premium price isn’t even that much more than cineworld for a far better experience. Basically I regret coming here because all other cinemas leave me feeling underwhelmed in comparison ;)

Setting aside standard cinema expectations of slow queues and disorganised staff to purchase overpriced and mildly stale popcorn, the real draw to Odeon Swiss Cottage is the IMAX screen. Though it isn't the largest one in the country, it is vast and really immerses you in the film.
Deciding to treat ourselves, we booked the NEW ultra premium seats that have leg rest and recliner controls to get yourself comfy. This is a great idea in practice however recline too far and your view is obscured by the row in front. Keep the chair upright and you're getting poor value for money.
The seats are also a heat trap. With no air con being circulated in the auditorium, it essentially feels like you are melding with a freshly toasted marshmallow. It's a bit of a let down really. Cinemas clearly care more about cold hard cash than the glory and magic of the silver screen experience.

Great, comfortable recliner chairs at half the price of the Everyman chain. Will definitely return and have been recommending to everyone!

My first time at a lux theatre. What a difference. Such comfortable seats and all round sound. We went to see Bohemian Rhapsody snd it was like being at a show.

Have been coming here for some time now, was happy to find an awesome art deco style cocktail bar on site, perfect for pre-movie drinks. Whole cinema was refurbished recently and they have definitely spent a pretty penny on all the recliner seats so that's good BUT the bar is now closed it would seem :( Gutted. Looks like I'll have to travel further afield to find the same kind of amenities now..such a pity.

Is Row D a bit too close to the screen for comfortable viewing?
