Neighbourhood: Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

You enter and pick up tickets at some fold away table. No desk designed specifically for the purpose of selling/collecting tickets. Shoddy.
There was a small merchandise stall, right next to the door into the bar. The bar area was crowded and the line to get into the theatre went through the bar, past the merchandise stall, past the make shift ticket area and then out into the street. It was packed. No chance of getting merchandise with that sort of line. Could hardly tell the stall was there. The bar is also far overpriced for the size/quality of theatre.
I was told the show would start at 7:30 so my partner and I got there around 7. This is the time theatres usually let you in before a 7:30 show. At a push sometimes 7:15. But no. The place was packed and definitely overcrowded. Clearly a fire hazard. However in there wisdom the people running this place divided to not let people in until 7:35. The show was meant to start at 7:30.
Absolute shambles. Clearly a risk to people’s safety by getting them to crowd in the small bar/reception area. I’m surprised they’re still allowed to be open.
I will NEVER be going here again. I will not be putting my safety or the safety of my friends at risk.
