Excellent tour of the air raid shelters beneath Clapham South, great tour guide detailing the history of use over the years with some of the tunnels kitted out with the beds that were used during the war to give you a real flavour of how...More

I visited the Clapham Deep Shelter and ended up in a fairly large group (22 people) and still enjoyed it very much. It’s a really unusual site with an interesting and unexpected story presented in an engaging and informative way. Why not 5 stars? Only...More

After months of trying I finally managed to get some tickets and was not disappointed. An interesting tour of something I did not know even existed below my feet. Well organised, punctual, interesting guides who provided a history of the tunnels during a 75 minute...More

Not a particularly cheap outing lasting 75-80 minutes but well worth it in my view for a location that is so unusual. Tip: it is a bit cheaper if you book on one of the "matinee" tours. We were well marshalled by the museum staff...More

i just attended Hidden London's tour of the subterranean shelter next to Clapham South tube station and unfortunately it is one of the worst 'value for money' tourist I have ever attended. I have been to other Hidden London venues which were more interesting (55...More

This was a fascinating and unusual experience. Who knew that there was so much to learn about one of our deep air raid shelters? It was extremely well organised and the pace of the walk was perfect. Our guides were passionate and knowledgeable about our...More

Its great fun and to think it was used as a hotel at one point in the 1950’s. Guides know their stuff and it’s an insight into the war time misery of the people of Clapham. Pace is about right and it’s a super 75...More

This was a well led tour and full of useful facts. The 180 stairs might be a challenge for some but if you can cope with this, you really must put this trip on your todo list.

We did the Clapham South Subterranean Tour Screenings yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it – the screenings were very informative and included footage from back in the day. We did, however, feel as though the level of information provided was limited. Also, we would have liked...More

You get tickets from TFL web site, the tunnels are only open at certain times during the year but they do have other sites like Down Street.
