The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.

    A great place to visit!
A little hard to find but once in a great experience! Front of house pleasantly welcome you and pass you on to the tour guide who meets you at the bottom of a dark stairwell! A history of the bridge with actors to the final maze! Take it if you dare! A great laugh, some very dark bits with actors to scare you through your journey. Would definitely recommend a visit if in town!
Thank you for your review! I shall pass on your positive feedback re front of house. The combination of history guides, and the final maze appears to have made the tour both educational and thrilling. It's great to hear that you had a good laugh and also experienced some genuinely spine-tingling moments. Your recommendation for others to visit if they're in town is a strong endorsement. Thanks for sharing your adventure!

    Fun!
First off, thumbs up 👍🏻 to the extremely amazing customer service provided at The London Bridge Experience! Everyone there was very friendly, warm, inviting and helpful, even though the experience was meant to be scary. Which it was when you entered the nearly completely dark cellar and started the journey and tour. Even on the tour staff were also funny and put all effort into sticking to their characters. It was a very enjoyable experience. Unfortunately photography wasn't allowed. So in order to know what goes on down there, you'd just need to join the tour and experience it on your own. Definitely not for people with heart issues, but a should do with couples, friends and families with older children.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at The London Bridge Experience! We're delighted to hear that you had a fantastic time and that the customer service exceeded your expectations. It's always great to know that the staff were friendly, warm, and committed to providing an enjoyable experience. . Thank you for choosing The London Bridge Experience, and we look forward to welcoming you back again! 👻🏰🌉🇬🇧

    Zombie for a day experience!
My husband knows I'm still on a mission to find as many weird & wonderful experiences as I can...and this Christmas present definitely fit the bill! Not really knowing what to expect, we were first whisked off underground on the London Bridge experience - scary!!! - and after recovering from that, we were met by the incredibly accommodating Harry, who took us off to his subterranean dressing room to meet the cast! ( very cool) After our zombie make-up tutorial and costume change we had an incredible 3 course lunch in the restaurant above, and then Harry (our zombie leader) took us off to prepare us for scaring the general public 😁 A fantastic day where we got even more than we bargained for and it was worth every single penny! Harry was a superb guide and we had more fun than we've had in quite a while 😄👍👍👍
We are so pleased at the London Bridge Experience that you had an absolutely thrilling and unforgettable Christmas present experience! It's fantastic to hear that Harry and the team made the experience even more enjoyable with their hospitality and guidance. Our chefs never fail with the fantastic three-course lunch. We love having our Zombies for a day thank you for giving us such a lovely review.

Made to feel welcome and part of the experience!
For a family experience, this is great fun and super cost effective too. The staff couldn’t make you feel more welcome and for anyone nervous or needing adjustments they are sensitive and couldn’t do enough. In fact, the great staff really made the day. There is a genuinely good balance of historical fact that gives the tour relevance (we’re not talking A level revision territory, just some useful insight into how long the bridge has been there and it’s part in London’s broader history). It’s brought to life through an immersive experience that is a great add on to a trip to the area and definitely worth a go. Genuinely this is better than the London Dungeon which just felt impersonal, expensive and put us off experiences like this about five years ago and just wasn’t good if anyone in your party needs adjustments. This is not something we normally would have done and I am so glad we did. Thanks all at the London Bridge Experience!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you and your family had such a positive experience with us. It’s great to know that our staff made you feel welcome and accommodated any needs you had—your comfort and enjoyment are our top priorities. We’re also glad that you appreciated the balance of historical insight and immersive fun, and that it added value to your trip. We’re so pleased you gave us a chance and had a memorable day. Thanks again from all of us at the London Bridge Experience!

    Not bad but over priced
It was okay and fun. I have nothing bad to say about this place, the actors were good and it's fun. The only thing I will say is that there is 0 point going here and also going to London dungeons. London Dungeons actors, stories, and whole general experience is far far superior and much more immersive. At similar prices I just don't see why you'd need to do both. Also one slight issue in my opinion is, for the jump scare part at the end they make you go in a line with your hand placed on the person in front of you 's back. Now this is clearly for safety as it is very dark and I totally understand the need for this but if you are not in the front third of the line then the jump scare is absolutely pointless as you know exactly when it is coming because you hear the others scream.
Thank you for your review we take all feedback on board.

We went along to the 'Phobophobia' experience on Friday night thinking it might be a fun activity for myself and my 16 year old daughter on the run up to Halloween.
After weird 'scare' tactics in the queue - which fail to work if you're not scared of snakes...
Once you're in, the scare tactics don't get any better. In 30 minutes, what we got was a very weird short tour of some cellars set up in various horror clichés. Very few real actors and most of the interaction was odd rather than scary.
I wish I'd gone through the day to see the Tombs, I can only hope it would have been a better experience. £50 for two tickets for less than 45 minutes of poor entertainment is not good value.

Disappointing to be standing outside in a wind tunnel as lorries fly past a few yards from you, despite there being so few people. I presume they were waiting for enough people to turn up to make it worth putting on a show, but each time I asked there was no explanation. "Not long now, if you'll just be patient". Frustrating to be spoken to like a child - it doesn't seem unreasonable to ask for an explanation. Nearly an hour before we were in. Shame.

The main London experience was poor with fairly tired acting. But the actors were set up to fail really with a poor set-up of 4 completely disjointed staged pieces that made no sense together. The scare maze at the end was really weird given what was before it, and although quite good fun, you can't go far wrong with jumpscares imho, it was just a weird ending really.

Creams was nice. Good deserts.

Dear Mr_wilberforce, Thank you for taking the time to leave your recent review of our attraction and we are sad that on this occasion it was not what you expected. As a small independent tourist attraction in the heart of London we take criticism personally and try to deal with any issues that our customers may find and we try to rectify them if we can. This is what has made us the winner of the Best UK scare attraction since 2008. We have however been a target for fraudulent reviews in the past due to the volume of awards we have received and still seem to be so. Tripadvisor have worked with us to remove some of these reviews but it’s not always easy to identify such reviews. It’s for this reason that we request that anyone leaving a negative review to contact us directly so that we can have the chance of validating any problems and to rectify them but also aid in the identification of reviews that are potentially fraudulent. Please do feel free to contact me directly on the following email to give us the opportunity of responding and resolving any concerns: James@tlbe.co.uk We do work very hard in offering the award-winning show that we do but sometimes we do get things wrong so we do welcome honest feedback so please do feel free to contact me. Wow.... if you aren't faint hearted this really is a must for people who love to be spooked!! The presenters were amazing and the attention to detail from a bygone era was remarkable. Highly recommend to anyone who loves the history of London and is not frightened of being scared out of their wits .... or claustrophobic!!

From reading official reviews and information provided on the website. We were under the impression that this attraction is essentially a spookier version of the London Dungeons as an immersive, historical horror attraction.

The website states that the attraction takes 1 hour to complete. The attraction concluded after 20 mins and we were left waiting 15 mins for the tour guide when the attraction had “started”. You queue for longer than you are in there.

The mood of the scare attraction was ruined by quite actors, walkie talkies going off and a unprofessional costume worn by one of the actors - Nike sports joggers aren’t exactly historically accurate.

The horror maze at the end was the best part - but over within a few mins. We had to ask whether that was the end of the tour because it was so underwhelming for the price. The clown with the air gun was the peak of the experience.

Historical facts were brushed over and the total of 4 actors, only one actor impressed (The Head Keeper?).

Honestly would recommend the London Dungeons as it is more immersive and has more to offer for the same price.

Full from a shared thin & crispy Vegetarian Pizza & haloumi bites for dinner at Pizza Express, we decided to give ourselves a scare by visiting the London Bridge Experience since it was part of our London Pass anyway. Without the pass, tickets are priced at £28.95. We were given special treatment due to the pass. Thus, we were able to beat the queue.

It was supposed to be scary but it wasn’t. History was being relived & told by the actors. The main part was of Jack The Ripper & all the other horrible stories which had happened on London Bridge. At some point, the actors would suddenly jump up at you, hoping to startle & scare you. Unfortunately, their efforts were in vain. I remember wanting to get out of the place as soon as possible as I was downright bored!

There was a café which sold milkshakes & desserts before exiting the premises. We walked passed it, eager to get back to our Hotel. Looking back, we should have tried the milkshakes.

I was disappointed by this experience, it was really terrible.
If you're looking to learn anything about history, or simply want to have a fun experience, choose a different attraction. Ther are many amazing guided tours in London. It has little to nothing to do with the London Bridge, it's simply a poorly executed hounted house with tired actors reciting scripts. Don't spend your hard earned money on this.

This was one of the attractions available on our London Pass, and before getting there, we were both pretty thrilled at going. The live actors on the first part did a good job and kept it light and funny while explaining a little part of London’s history. The second part was like any haunted house experience that we’ve seen in the past, and it kind of gave both of us a “why did they include that” moment when done. If they weaved more of the history of London into that 2nd part, then I think it would of tied both pieces together a lot more, but like I said above.....it ended up just being an OK haunted house experience with no connection to the 1st part.

The tour is advertised at lasting 40 - 50 minutes. We went in at 5 and was finished by 5:30.

The last part of the experience (the tombs) is the better part of the tour, which we enjoyed. However, over all It is not worth £27pp and we left quite disappointed.

I went because I heard good things about it from friends and since it was included in the London pass, I decided to give it a go.

The first part was a well thought out glimpse into the history of the bridge from Roman to Victorian times. Though the sets are a bit worse for wear, it was fun and the actors did their best to bring their characters to life. Especially the barman at the end was really engaging and I would have stayed and listened to him a bit longer.

Afterwards the scary part of the experience begins, within a haunted house style walking attraction. As there are several real people in there to frighten you, expect a number of jump scares. You walk through different classic horror themed areas which give off a bit of a ghost train vibe adding to the experience. Some scares are really unexpected and if you go there with younger children you might want to opt for their guardian angel option.

All in all a fun, scary experience.

Won't be going again. For the price you pay you don't get much. They missed out on so many things that could have actually made it interesting and scary - e.g. the great fire of London, the plague, jack the ripper etc. The maze, if that's what you want to call it, is a follow the leader style attraction with a lot of flashing lights and some actors charging at you. Got to see an insane asylum and a circus, which is very relevant to the tower bridge I'm sure. There was no information either on the actual London tombs, what happened there, how it was found, nothing. So disappointed. Save your money.

Heads up:
1. Not listed anywhere on the tickets but don't arrive at the time stated on your ticket, you need to arrive 10 mins before or you won't be allowed in to your actual time slot (arrived at 12 for the 12 show, had to wait outside for the next show 30 mins after)
2. There is no luggage storage so you'll have to carry everything round with you, slightly taking away from the immersive experience
