We visited today with my two young children, they had great fun dressing up and colouring in at the various craft stations across the museum. The restaurant was fantastic, the food was delicious and reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and attentive. A hidden Gem.

Dear Sian B Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We pride ourselves on being fun for the little ones, despite appearances of being a big old domineering building so we're really happy to hear that your children had a good old rummage in the dress up boxes and found all of our interactive stations and fun... This gallery and museum marries Art and Science very well, with a great selection of exhibits from both areas. It houses Epstein sculptures, old collections of bones and teeth, physics related exhibits and contemporary paintings. A very interesting place to go to gain inspiration. The cafe food is very nice and good value for money - food that elsewhere would... More

Being on the Iniversity of Liverpool campus away from the city centre, not many would know its there, but it is definitely worth the trip up. In the beautiful original building for the university it has wonderful collections and has great exhibitions one regularly.

Loud drilling made our visit to the Cafe unbearable. The management of this space must put customers first and arrange refurbishment work when the space is closed to the public.

Entry is free so I thought I may as well make a quick visit one afternoon. I really enjoyed the museum and was so surprised by their exhibits! It's not a bug museum but such a variety of topics are covered with just enough detail that you learn new things, but don't get bored or overwhelmed.
