Visiting family and not wanting to go to Farmer Ted's again, this was an interesting, unexpected find and pleasant surprise. Reasonably priced there was a decent play area, artistic touches with the chimes and a kind of drum for the children to play with, as well as a ride on the horses, and a bit of plant shopping for grandad!... This was our first visit to acorn farm. We went for lunch first and were slightly disappointed by the limited menu (especially as a vegetarian). They had run out of jacket potatoes as well! The cafe was heaving so obviously popular. We then visited the farm and bought bags of feed. Very cheap to get in which was good. In... More

Thank you for your review. We were sorry to read that you were disappointed with your visit. The café does get very busy at times which can occasionally lead to popular items selling out. We have recently reduced the amount of food in the bags we sell for visitors to feed our animals, sometimes the food on the floor is... More

Brilliant place to visit, very reasonably priced, staff are all amazingly welcoming and the play area is also brilliant for the children once they have experienced all of the animals.

Great place for children big and small. Very reasonable cost and children are able to feed the animals with food available from the kiosk. There is horse riding at an additional cost and a small animal petting hut also at additional cost, but we did not use either of these. There are two small play areas, a picnic area and... More

Acorn farm is a great little day out for al the family. It's cheap and you can get involved by attending the petting session. You can also purchase some food for the animals for 50p a bag and feed the sheep. We all had fun. Would recommend it. Although the parking is very limited.
