We saw the Tate pictures and comend the producers. Afterwards, we went in the restaurant via the gift shop and enjoyed lunch. WE had soup and bread and Sandwich. The service was good and so was the meal. Well done, Tate.

Several reviewers say that much of what is on display here is borderline pretentious and, alas, I have to agree. There are some excellent pieces, but there are others that you'd struggle to sell for £10 in a car boot sale. I did have high hopes for the audio/visual installation (some about Plan A, Plan B and Liberty), but it... More

Went with a friend who has the Tate membership! With extra £5, each member could bring max 3guests to the special exhibition :)

Thought provoking exhibition. There were lockers provided for coats and bags which is always useful in a gallery.

Called to the Tate as I hadn't been for years. It is a great building, in a great location on the Albert Docks. Tracey Emin's 'My Bed' was on show... my boys just laughed.. and continued to with other displays. I bring them.. just to see if something clicks with them.. to challenge.. excite... elicit a response... I got that... More

We really love the original Tate in London but not this one. Just do not like the art or displays. Thought it was quite cold inside.

We visited the Tate specifically to see the Yves Klein exhibition and we were not disappointed. The only criticism would be that the lights bounced off the glass on the paintings and so you had to stand some way back to avoid glare. One part of the general exhibition was closed off for a press preview and was diasapponting and... More

Tiny and a big disappointment. Staff said they were in the middle of bringing more exhibits on board. Tracy Emin and her pole dancing was just rubbish. Where's Banksy hiding when you need him? The pictures of The Beatles at The Hampton's Hilton were more thought provoking than the works on show here. London's Tate is simply in a different... More

The Tate Galleries seem to pride themselves on exhibitions that the cognoscenti and the luvvies describe as "inspiring" or "interesting" or "thought provoking" etc. Perhaps I am just a philistine, but most of the stuff on show here looked like the sort of artwork that adorns the walls of Primary Schools up and down the land, only perhaps with less... I visited the Tate Liverpool for a uni assignment and it was wonderful. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and could tell us lots about the exhibits. The Tracey Emin and William Blake which was the highlight of the gallery.
