A 15-minute walk from its Anglican counterpart along Hope Street, 1960s' "futurism" best describes the exterior of what's locally know as "Paddy's Wigwam." The huge interiors illuminated by natural light through the exquisite stained glass is worth the journey itself.

Beautiful building and lovely garden. My visit was with a family member that is religious, as it was something she wanted to do when visiting Liverpool. The gift shop is also very reasonably priced.

Experience contrasting modern and Gothsic cathedrals at each end of Hope Street. Metropolitan RC cathedral at one end and the Anglican Cathedral at the other. Why not pay a visit to famous Philharmonic pub that sits in the middle.

Visited this cathedral midweek. A beautiful building. Paid to visit the Luytens crypt which told the story of the original cathedral design and the build as it developed to what it is today. The Crypt is a must visit.

The sense of light, mainly blue light, from the windows all round the circular space makes an immediate impact on entry, and then one starts to appreciate just how vast the interior is, being capable of seating some 2300 people grouped around the central sanctuary,...More

Now this is a very modern, if not futuristic looking Cathedral. Dare I say looks like a space ship type Cathedral? anyway judge for your self. What you must do here, is go down the Crypt to see the old building part. We had a...More

I was not sure what I am seeing exactly. The building is very strange but beautiful in a way. It is at the start of Hope street - the one with the best bars. This is called irony....

Something very special. Unique building and well worth going into. Also recommend visiting the crypt which was part of the original enormous project.

I’m writing this review because of the sheer quality of this cathedral. I have visited the Anglican Cathedral several times - recommended in its own right - and had always meant to, but never actually visited its Catholic counterpart. I am very glad I did...More

No visit to Liverpool would be complete without visiting the Roman Catholic cathedral of Christ the King. The stained glass colours and design are superb and particularly the lantern area on the top - try and choose a sunny day to get the full effect....More
