Impressive for me as a scouser to learn a different aspect to the history of the beatles. Really opens your eyes beyond the commercially available history. Roag was an excellent tour guide.

We were looking forward to visiting here on our recent trip from Newcastle. Arrived at 12.30pm, place was advertised as opening at 10am, knocked on every door and after 20 minutes eventually someone opened the door. The guy who answered seemed as if he didn't...More

Dear Bungalow Bill. It states quite clearly on our website tours have to be PRE-BOOKED. Arriving at the Casbah and being annoyed nobody is there when you haven't made an appointment is well, a little rich. To then continue by placing a review criticising the...More

Dear Gillianhumble2276, I can only hazard a guess you never booked to do a tour. Tours do have to be PRE-BOOKED. So to criticise something you never actually did is a little strange i.e. I hate riding horses even though I've never ridden a horse....More

Visiting the Casbah Club is a unique experience. Pete Best’s brother Roag is an engaging and enthusiastic guide around the intriguing cellars opened by their mother Mona Best as a rock and roll club. You’ll see ceilings painted by John Lennon and Paul McCartney and...More

The Casbah is the place where the Beatles played regularly. Owned by Pete Best's family they used to play in the cellar which was converted into a coffee bar. You can even see where they helped to decorate, preserved for all to see. Each August...More

Another thing for Beatles fans to do! Had a great tour round the Casbah. Lots of old rare photos when the Beatles were starting out. Loads of memorabilia, so much to see. The staff are so enthusiastic it really is a blast.

The casbah is an excellent experience. I note that some detractors seem to expect more. To anyone mulling over attending I would remind you to consider; where do you think some young boys, who are not famous, haven't written a song yet and aren't very...More
