So little is known of this place compared to The Cavern, which hopefully will change. If you are visiting Liverpool to take in some Beatles history and sights then put this on your list of MUST SEE places. The Casbah is an integral part of...More

Thank you for your 5 star review. Greatly appreciated. However, I must state the Beatles did NOT play Lowlands. George Harrison did with the Les Stewart quartet. And the only other Beatle to go there prior to the Casbah opening was Pete Best on a...More

I don't want to write this as these things stay better as a secret. But this is the best thing you will do in Liverpool. The home of The Beatles. Quite simply, where it all began. Retrace the historic steps down this subterranean world, starting...More

We spent a bit more than an hour with Roag Best (Pete's youngest brother) who gave us a fantastic history of the Casbah and how it was The Beatles that actually helped to paint and open the place for Mona Best (Pete's mom). If you...More

Easy 25 minute bus journey from Liverpool city centre to a rather posh suburb. Rather grotty basement club which felt extremely authentic to me. Marvellous to be standing around with Beatles graffiti and ceiling painting skills visible all round. Tour fills in lots of missing...More

Roag (Former Beatle Pete Best's Half-Brother) gave us a superb tour of the Casbah Coffee Club, which in Paul McCartney's words is "where it all began". It was a truly fascinating tour and Roag had loads of information that we had never heard before. A...More

This is the place where the original BEATLES started out - the tour was hosted by Roag Best (brother of Pete) who was very witty and full of interesting facts regarding the club and those early days of merseybeat. This is a must for any...More

What a great place to experience. Fills in so much information about the pre Brian Epstein days. The Casbah is packed with original features and shed loads of history.

Our tour was with Roag who was so entertaining and full of life. Great stories and it really was amazing to see it all as it was all those years ago.A definite 'must do' for all Beatles fans.

You do have to make an appt to have it opened for you. I had Roag himself give me a tour and it was well worth the trip to the nearby suburb. Spectacular Victorian home with a basement frozen in time of Beatle history... More
