The historic meeting of John Lennon and Paul McCartney took place at St. Peter's Church on July 6, 1957. It is in a very pretty area and a must-see for hardcore Beatles fans.

It was over the road from here, in the Chruch Hall, that John Lennon met Paul McCartney, and it's in the graveyard here that is buried the famous Eleanor Rigby.

Woolton is a beautiful village. The people who live there are very lucky. I went there because of the important Beatles meeting . Although important to Beatles fans, the place itself is very impressive. I can understand why the church doesn't emphasise the connection. If...More
