When sightseeing in Liverpool going on the Ferry cross the Mersey is something you just must do and even though it was chucking it down and rough we did it as it was our only opportunity to do so. I must say that I thought...More

Hi Lesley We're glad that you have been able to cross a trip on the Mersey Ferry off your list but sorry that we weren't able to improve the weather for you. We call it "brisk and bracing". There are some spots on board where...More

The ferry across the Mersey is an icon made more famous by Gerry & the Pacemakers. The ferry has become rather more than a way of crossing the estuary. The ferries leave the Liverpool George Dock on the hour, more frequently at busy times. They...More

the ferry has now been painted with the wartime dazzle patterns, although it is also in bright colours. We saved money by buying a combined ticket at the "on off buses" for both a river trip and town excursions, good value for money. The boat...More

I'm was sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the drama on board the ferry. This was part of the Steam on the Dock weekend at the Albert Dock. And I think that you must have used the ferry during the commuter service on...More

A trip you have to make if you're in Liverpool just to say you're done it! Made famous by Gerry and the Pacemakers single released in the sixties, you'll get a brief snippet of the song after you have boarded. If you go on a...More
